Description

This is a repeating texture taken from Angus McKie's 1979 comic So Beautiful and So Dangerous. The comic itself ran in the famous Science Fiction magazine HEAVY METAL in 1978 and '79, was immediately picked up for a trade paperback comic by Simon & Schuster and a portion of the story was included in the motion picture Heavy Metal. This image may actually be part of a still from the animated segment.

I was inspired to create this texture (wallpaper, if you will) by a piece that Chaosfive-55 posted called Woopp Infinity. I found an appropriate image online, and discovered I could crop it to a convenient 256 x 256 pixels. I then further reduced it to a 64 x 64 image, which I repeated to create the texture. All manipulations performed with the excellent, versatile and free Paint.NET (www.getpaint.net/ ).
