Description Elves that are not only friendly to humans, but rely on them for food and sustenance?! Prince Nuada must stifle his vomit at that thought!

An elf prince that lives a derelict life with goblins and a cave troll for his man-at-arms?! Thranduil must gather all his dignity to keep his composure.

So what would the end result be if the race to face Smaug the Magnificent went on betwixt the elves? Thranduil seeks treasure . . . Prince Nuada seeks something else.

That and thinking to himself, "And he's a TWIN? Poor Balor; it's no wonder he's only got one arm!"

Oh, the other elf is Thranduil son of Oropher the Elvenking of Smirkwood. It confuses people and REAL elves (as Nuada will quickly point out) because he looks like a human with pointed ears!

Β

LOL, thought you'd like that!

I like Drizzt and ilkar from the novels more now. Thran,.... is in my game LOL, but i seldom play as him. its the strategy game

I imagine in a fight both Drizzt and Thranduil would win the first round and Nuada and Drizzt the third then Thranduil and Nuada would be at an impasse with Drizzt the real winner. Why? Because during each round Drizzt would wait off to the side and watch the two go at . . . then in the end be the one that proposes they join forces and become their unspoken dominant voice. Nuada's too passionate about his cause and will die for it; Thranduil is too cautious and would rather turn away from a fight than lose his or any other elf's life; Drizzt is the only skilled strategist of the three!

wow u sure have dreamt this out, the exact sequence. Motive, Why would Drizzt want to duel with them? he is a peacekeeper lol

Β Library has book 7 and i still admire drizzt at this stage, BUT he failed to recognize that regis sounded weird. why, because it wasn't him but artemis and he was bundled up by the baddies.
Oh how does Thran fight, what is his style?

That was my point; Drizzt is a peacekeeper so he would stand off to the side and observe thereby winning every round by default!

Β

I imagine the other two would go at it for turf-defense reasons. Both Nuada and Thranduil are extremely territorial where Drizzt would not be!

That kind of setting would end in both Nuada and Thranduil seeking immediate shelter and nursing any wounds incurred in escaping while Malekith's attention was acquired which would give Drizzt someone to take out the 'can of whoop-elf' on and calm down a little long enough for the other two to come back out and suggest that they form an alliance in the name of universal understanding and brotherhood knowing fully that without their entire host behind them they're the prissy little pretty elves and Drizzt is a full-on bad @$$. And since Nuada can't take the Golden Army with him everywhere and Thranduil can't take all of his army with him everywhere, they're both really not much of a match for someone who was raised in a subterranean elf-style Orwellian underworld!

LOL! hey what about Legolas? and haldir. who wasn't supposed to die?

Oh, and every time Legolas tries to get in on the action, Prince Nuada orders him to be a 'good little boy' and go and look after Nuala for him. Yeah, he went there, but then he would also have no problem beheading his obviously ineffective father; he's just serious enough to do it.

Aw, come on. We all know Haldir faked his own death onscreen to get a shot at leading a different life feeling superior to everyone; you know, living in our world!

I told/convinced myself that Ilkar didn't get killed either (needless sacrifice imo) ,and lives in a nice comfy realm with fellow elves and teaching magic! XDD Great for Haldir! I'm glad we agree elves shouldn't be hurt.

Not just shouldn't be, he was more of a badass than Legolas who was surfing on shields which was totally unnecessary. But then, he was raised with the 'party til you drop' mentality! Good grief, what is the drinking age in Mirkwood? 24 hours?

Don't worry! I'll tell you . . .

Β

Prince Nuada Silverlance was the twin brother of Princess Nuala who were the only children of the King of Elfland, the one-armed Balor (whose crown was a much more impressive version of Thranduil's). As elves of the first age of the earth, they tried to defend the world against man's conquest. But when man proved to be too strong, a goblin blacksmith offered to build the king a mechanical, indestructible Golden Army. Prince Nuada had seen too much loss, including his mother, in the war and begged his father to agree. The king had the army made, but regretted it and made a truce with humanity after seeing that the carnage created by it far outdid anything man had done.

Prince Nuada did not trust humans (rightfully so, they broke the truce almost immediately after) and went off into self-imposed exile where he waited to see if humanity would improve. Along the way he earned the respect of the trolls, the goblins, and even had a companion named Wink who was a cave troll that defended him in battle. In the end, Prince Nuada heard about the humans' concern for the earth's health and he felt it begin to die, so he began to seek out a way to resurrect the hidden army and slaughtered all humans in his path from that day forward, protecting magical creatures of EVERY kind. He shared a strange link with his twin that gave him pity (something his father had tried to beat out of him during training) and gave them telepathic abilities and close together they will share one another's wounds.

Why thank you! I've thought about doing another one where Balor on his throne with crown, Thranduil on his throne with crown, introduce their 'sons' and then say something like, "Let us speak of an alliance." while both their sons are muttering under their breath "Like hell, we will."
