This is what I do instead of school work....But I did need a break from website mockups sooo.... here's Katara doing what she does best.
It turned out alot better than what I pictured in my head
(which doesn't happen often)And as a bonus, its in the painty style I'm trying to pick up. I decided that I work better with line art, so its a combination (I think it turned out pretty good don't you think?).
OMG the dragon almost killed me X_X It started off simple but I just got so anal about the detail that I kept going. Mind you...I'd do it again, it was fun
In fact, this picture is now part 1/4 of a series

Okay, so I'm going to enter this beauty in a competition since its gotten so much great feedback. So I have fixed it up and balanced out the picture.
The dragon was a little lopsided and part of its water crest got cut off....but its all fixed now

well i do my art in photoshop. I do lines on one layer and on a layer underneath i make a colour layer. That way its just like a colouring book

beautiful, cant wait to see more, the thing i like most is how the dragon get more personality the closer to its head it gets. it starts of just a puddle, then gains details which is a great effect (: well done!
