My first attempt at drawing a detailed background!, never tried to draw trees or plants before (from scratch and not just using a preset brush) and I'm honestly really happy with how it turned out. Although I can definitely improve, especially with the shading on the trees and the clouds. I drew the lineart in Clip Studio then the background in Photoshop CC and brought it back to clip for the lighting.

This scene depicts my oc Kali-ra as a young girl on a Olibio tree after she notices how the sunset reflecting off the clouds made it look as though the sky itself was burning, some ominous foreshadowing for later events when her village is burned down.

Kali-ra's species credits go to Rayn44! I tried to work her original designs for the forest and some trees and plants into the background while giving them more detail
