I've tried animation twice, maybe three times (can't remember) and the most recent attempt was just a little over a year ago. That being said I don't know how the hell I managed to make this with the only reference being for her eye placement since I need a bit of practice for her front facing angle. Besides that, I am OBSESSED with how well this came out! It looks so clean and smooth!
The GIF is just supposed to be of her eyes opening, not a loop. About 22 frames, I animated the hair, eyes, and ears on different timelines so it felt more real, with her hair being lighter and pushed up after she lifts her face.
