Description

The walls were bending and folding on themselves. The floor was rolling up like a carpet, standing up on it’s side. All this while someone took an entire bag of cotton-balls, and crammed them into her ears. Her eyes wanted to roll inward and back, and her body said “okay” while the lids drooped down. They were gradual blinks, taking a little bit longer to open each time, and never quite as far. Soon the animalistic bucking of her body was nothing but a foggy memory, and it was those same frustratingly groping hands of the boys that were now the only thing holding her up.

As if to test their theory, the octopus of arms released their prey. The hand released her nose, removed the acrid white cloth from her desperate mouth. She took gulping fresh breaths, but they were pathetic, small, and weak. Dawn stood on clumsy legs, knees close, feet confused and wide. She took steps that made it look like she didn’t understand the difference from forward, back, left, or right. And while she wobbly demonstrated that she did not comprehend how feet worked, her arms waved to try to provide balance. It was all quite a show, and she murmured “Whoooaaoooohhhh” feeling like she was standing in a small rowboat during a raging storm, adrift in the center of the ocean. Her audience, a group of three mysterious boys, did not resist the urge to laugh at how pathetic and helpless the “great” Dawn Meadows was in this moment.

It did not take long for her to collapse to her knees in a woozy haze. And there she wobbled like a fighter taking one too many punches before toppling over in a crash, face first onto the floor.

Here is part 4 of my brand new story. It seems some foul fumes cause a loss of focus and leave poor Dawn feeling foggy. I hope everyone is enjoying the story so far. Stay tuned for the next installment!
