This was one of my first realistic CG attempts. I used a photo for reference.Overall, I think it came out pretty nice but as I was working on it, I thought it was taking too long and felt too tense. As a result, I grew bored with it about a third of the way through and tied it up without a background. I really doubt that I'll go back and work on it anymore, especially since I deleted the .pds file.
Um... here here for first attempts.
Material: Wacom tablet, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, photo reference
