Bentley puts up a Chalktalk on his touchscreen computer.
Bentley: OK boys and girls, here's what we know. This guy, Neo Cortex, is dabbling in brainwashing, mutations, building a massive army, and conquering every continent, country, state, county, city, town, village, and settlement all over the world, including Paris! Thanks to our recent ally, Peri, who's an alien from Vantashia, she managed to purify Sly of every trace of black magic from this creep, Uka Uka, who's the younger brother of Aku Aku. According to Aku, he was the village chief centuries ago, picked over Uka. Anyway, back to Cortex, he and Uka Uka are trying to steal Power Crystals, Time Relics, and Power Gems to rule the universe! We can't let that happen. Since the Bandicoots are better at finding and collecting the artifacts, we should show them how the Cooper Gang gets them.
Carmelita: Why including me?
Bentley: Since you helped us during our time travel adventure, and you have a thing for Sly, as well as busting Octavio, Muggshot, and General Tsao. Including you've saved Sly from being eaten by Dr. M's giant mutant primate beast. Speaking of which, what happened to it?
Carmelita: Collared it and dropped the big lug off at Area 51.
Bentley: Well, that's good. And I assume you took your hatred out on Dr. M as payback for knocking Sly senseless back on Kaine Island in the Cooper Vault.
Carmelita: Oh yeah, I remember. Anyway, we've got a load of jobs to do. Sly is unable to participate since he's showering off all the saliva Peri covered him in when she became a Great Caesar to cleanse him of Uka's black magic. So we may have to improvise. I'll try to incorporate some climbing and acrobatic moves written down by Sly's ancestors, including his late father, from reading his family's book. Don't worry, I'm sure he won't mind me reading it. It's not like a family diary or anything.
Bentley: Alright. We'll hope that he doesn't notice. Anyway, you heard what Carmelita said, Sly's in no condition to pull off any jobs, so, we'll pull double duty. Carmelita, you and Aku Aku will go and collect recon photos of the area, and then of Cortex's operations. With some luck, Cortex will be ranting on about how he could not anticipate a giant monster attack, and not noticing a thing.
Aku Aku: Sad to say, Bentley, but Uka Uka can still sense anyone's presence, so we cannot go into Cortex's castle for the time being.

Bentley: A late member, and brains of the original Cooper Gang led by Sly's father, Connor Cooper.
Carmelita: If you ask, he tried to kill me with his giant mutant primate beast, but I subdued and sent it off to Area 51. Then, he tried to shoot me but Sly took the hit for me and got knocked unconscious from the shot. There are two things that really make me really mad the most, anyone trying to kill Sly when I was trying to capture him alive, and anyone kidnapping me and getting away with both!
Aku Aku: I'm certain that includes being possessed by an evil spirit mask in attempt to kill him and his gang.
Carmelita: What?
Bentley: You were possessed by the Mask of Dark Earth, it was unburied by the half-wit miners in Yuendumu, where the Guru resided, and it was his duty to guard the mask. It makes the wearer much larger, and possibly more aggressive too. And the chemicals in my sleep darts as well as the gunpowder and radiation from the dynamite reacted with the mask it latched onto you an made you gigantic. Sly had to climb up to it while you were giant, and when you swat him off, the hooks he was hanging on with his cane broke off the mask and it came right off of you! As for what happened to it, your ape mercenaries managed to finish it off with their anti-tank rifles. That mask had a powerful force of black magic in it! It was able to escape!
Carmelita: Aye caramba! I was possessed by an evil spirit???
Bentley: Well, yeah. You weren't able to resist the mask's control over your body. And I know you're furious about letting something like that happen to you, and want to make that spirit pay, but it's already destroyed. You were badly wounded and heavily sedated, so Sly, Murray, the Guru, and I had to watch over you for a whole night. Sly picked up your camera, hoping you won't go home empty-handed, so we borrowed it and took pictures of ourselves posing for it, and left it for you.
Carmelita: Oh, so you used my camera to take pictures of yourselves to leave me evidence that you were in Yuendumu?
Murray: Yeah, it was quite entertaining. Sly wouldn't want you head home without evidence that we were there. Also, there was an illegal mining operation there, the miners seemed to have done a lot of damage to the place. You were out like a light back then?
Carmelita: Madre de dios... Well, I'm glad you watched over me back then, but why the miners?
Bentley: The place is rich with opals and they fetch a high price in Australia. Anyway, we'll need to put a bug in Dr. Cortex's office remotely as well as setting up a receiver array to listen in on the N. Team's conversations.
Carmelita: That's assuming if they don't have special Electro-Magnetic Pulse devices that can sweep for bugs.

Guru: [speaks Aboriginal]
Bentley: It's an ancient evil spirit mask infused with black magic. It was buried underground within Yuendumu, but was unearthed by the miners in Australia, after confining the Guru and confiscate his walking staff and moonstone. They had a gyrocopter that was equipped with a sensor that detected his moonstone's energy, which is how they found and captured the Guru. It was his duty to guard the artifact, but the mask itself has a will of its own. It possessed 2 dingoes with flashlight rifles, a whip dingo, and a kangaroo, and it even possessed Carmelita here. She may be mentally resilient enough to resist hypnosis, but she's powerless against evil spirits possessing her.
Carmelita: I resisted the Contessa's Mind Shuffler for a good long while, enough time for Sly and Bentley free me from the Contessa's Irontech 2-50.
Bentley: Alright, back to business we'll need to take recon photos, set up a receiver array, download from Cortex's mainframe, and bug Cortex's home without getting detected by Uka Uka.
Aku Aku: A good plan Bentley.

Crunch: Neo Cortex brainwashed me and forced me to harness the Elementals' powers in an attempt to eliminate Crash here. I was about to be the next general of his army called the "Cortex Commandos". If I see that sucka again, I'ma gonna hit 'im so hard, I'ma gon' knock him into next week!
Murray: Wow, sounds like I'm not the only muscle man who wants to have a crack at him! I agree. We're gonna thump that chump when we see him!

Dr. Neo Cortex: *growls in rage* Curse that infernal monster! Not only it broke into my castle, but also took my latest creation from me!!! When I find that beast, I'm going to make it pay!!!
Uka Uka: Patience, Cortex! I'm just as furious as you are about that debacle. Not only we failed to anticipate the monster taking Cooper away, but we lost him as well. But, there is still another chance. If we can't use a Cooper, we'll have to mutate and augment someone who's a rival of the Cooper Clan.
Dr. Nitrus Brio: Now calm down, Cortex. There's still another candidate for that. *pulls up Cyrille Le Paradox's file*
Dr. Nefarious Tropy: I think we've got time to spare to spring him from his prison. According to his file, he was arrested for willful disruption of the space-time continuum, grand larceny, illegal possession and use of a time machine, and attempted destruction of the Cooper Family history. His father met his demise when he attempted to steal the world's largest diamond and frame Connor Cooper for the crime, but for all we know, is that the tables were turned by Connor himself, and Cyrille's father was given a life sentence in prison, thus meeting his untimely demise. Because of that, without his father, Cyrille has no mentor in the family business to teach him on how to become a great thief, and he really hates everyone in the entire Cooper Clan since then, so he used his criminal education and formed a crime syndicate with his new contacts in prison. All of Cyrille's assets and entire art collection was seized and donated to the City of Lights, Paris. He's in Heathrow Prison in the Cooper Cellblock, doing time in solitary confinement in a special odorproof cell, under constant guard with the prison guards in odorproof suits.
Dr. N. Gin: Shall we go bust him out? He seems to be a better replacement than Cooper!
Dr. Neo Cortex: Hmm Good idea. Since he hated the Coopers so much, I suppose I can use him. Better than that raccoon.

But at least it wasn't a complete loss, since we've got records of his family. That cop vixen Carmelita Fox and those meddling bandicoots swiped the cane I dropped.
Nina: How was THAT a minor setback?
Dr. Cortex: There's still another candidate, a rival of Sly Cooper's in this day and age, a skunk named Cyrille Le Paradox.

Carmelita: *pulls up her Binocucom* Okay Bentley, I'm in position. If we're going to know about the situation, we'll need some recon photos.
Bentley: [over the comm] I agree. First, take the photos around the three islands, then head up to Cortex Castle. Your Binocucom is equipped with a spycam imager and a video camera recorder.
Carmelita: Si, I'll find some people, objects, and places of interest on each island, then look inside the castle while Uka Uka is away.
Bentley: [over the comm] Better hurry, no telling when he'll be back.
Carmelita takes a shot of the Native fortress gate.
Bentley: [over the comm] Looks like the natives are gearing up to go against Cortex. That must mean that he defiled their sacred places. We'll have to find a way to gain their trust.
Carmelita takes a shot of Cortex's airship.
Bentley: [over the comm] Interesting, that dirigible seems to be Cortex's personal mode of transport. Maybe we can use it to get around.
Carmelita takes 3 shots of each of Cortex's mutant henchmen out making their rounds; Tiny Tiger, Koala Kong, Rilla Roo, Dingodile, Ripper Roo, Pinstripe Potoroo, Komodo Moe, and Komodo Joe.
Bentley: [over the comm] Those guys spell bad news. I bet Murray's got competition with the koala and Tasmanian tiger.
Carmelita takes 3 shots of the Bearminator, who's a gigantonormous 50-foot tall musclegut cyborg polar bear in a military getup.
Bentley: [over the comm] This guy reminds me of the Terminator, RoboCop, and Major Metallitron. He's mostly robot, but also with organic innards stored inside his metal body.
Carmelita gets into Cortex Castle by sneaking in through a ventilation shaft.
Bentley: [over the comm] Alright, let's have some shots of the scientists and their toys. And stay out of sight!
Carmelita: [over the comm] I can understand why Sly is stealthy. I'll have to press and hold the Circle button near stealth auras. Those flashlight guards are practically tough.
Carmelita takes a shot of the Evolvo-Ray.
Bentley: [over the comm] That's the machine that mutated Sly earlier. It's also the one responsible for mutating anyone or anything on the receiving end.
Carmelita takes a shot of the Cortex Vortex.
Bentley: [over the comm] Another brainwashing device. And one that's responsible for brainwashing Sly's mind.
Carmelita takes 3 shots of Dr. Neo Cortex, Dr. N. Gin, Dr. Nitrus Brio, Dr. Nefarious Tropy, N. Trance, and Nina Cortex.
Bentley: [over the comm] The guys responsible for kidnapping and mutating Sly.
Carmelita: Si, that's all the photos I've got. I'm heading back to the hideout.
*later, Penelope is in position*
Penelope: Okay Bentley, I'm in position with my RC chopper to set up a receiver array.
Bentley: Excellent, now you'll have to plant the devices in key locations around Cortex's castle. With the array up, we'll be able to eavesdrop on Cortex's conversations.

Bentley: Out in the field bugging Cortex's castle remotely. It's a problem that only remote control technology can solve.
Carmelita: I hope she's having fun. Also, I wonder if Sly will be back in action.
Aku Aku: Because of my brother's black magic, Sly was furious that he had let an evil scientist like Dr. Cortex mutate him.
Carmelita: He's that sore at Cortex for what that pendejo did?
Aku Aku: Indeed, he has done showering off Peri's Great Caesar saliva and hes drying off. His clothes on the other hand are torn up because of Cortex mutating him.
Carmelita: Trust me, that askeroso is going to get it. Listen, I'll have to calm Sly down, see if I can help him control his emotions.

*Penelope sets up a receiver array around Cortex's castle with her RC chopper*
Bentley: [over the comm] Very good my redeemed queen of electronic dominance. Now, don't the fact that you're a thief go to your head. I won't want to you to betray me again.
Penelope: [over the comm] You're right about Le Paradox and what he would've done to me if he was at large. I wanna make it up to you and Sly. Sorry that he was out of action for a while.
Bentley: [over the comm] Apology accepted. It wasn't his fault, or anything. Cortex and Uka Uka are responsible for mutating him. Anyway, with the receiver array up, now you can start phase 2.
Penelope: [over the comm] Gotcha, I'll set up a bug in Dr. Cortex's room in his castle with my RC car.
Bentley: [over the comm] Be careful. Because of Carmelita, Peri, and the Bandicoot siblings daring entry into the castle, Cortex has no doubt beefed up security. According to the blueprints, the only way inside is through the castle windows.
Penelope: [over the comm] Alright. I'll get my RC chopper to lift my RC car and drop it off through the window.
Penelope takes out her RC Car and brings her chopper over to pick it up and drop it off through the top floor windows. The shattering of the window made a noise that drew some attention. Then she quickly lands her RC chopper out of sight and switches control to the RC Car to hide it discreetly.
Penelope: [over the comm] Alright I'm in, but the entry drew the attention of the lab assistants.
Bentley: [over the comm] Keep the car out of sight and avoid tripping floor sensors and security beams.

Bentley: *pulls out a PS Vita* Here you go, Peri, have a play with this. *uses his robotic arms to pick a PS Vita game, and pulls out PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for the PS Vita and hands the game to her* Here you go.

Penelope: [over the comm] Bentley, I've planted the bug, I'm pulling my RC vehicles out. *drives her RC car out of the castle the way it came in, then switches on her RC chopper to pick it up with its Yank-86 winch, and gets both RC vehicles back to her and puts them away* There, all done.
Bentley: [over the comm] Nice work, Penelope. Now we're listening in on him as we speak! Head on back to the hideout!
Penelope: Alright. *heads back to the hideout*
*later, Bentley heads out into the field, ready to redirect some satellites to the Bandicoots' hideout antenna to download from Cortex's mainframe, pulling out his Binocucom to contact Penelope.*
Bentley: I'm out in the field to redirect the satellites Cortex has set up. Normally, I'd let Sly do it, but he's in recovery from the ordeal involving being mutated by a madman.
Penelope: [over the binocucom] Good thing you've got the extra afterburner to ascend to those satellite dishes. You'll have to work your way up. Sly's still in bed, since he's still disoriented from being pumped with black magic.
Bentley: Okay. I'm en route to the first satellite! *hangs up and wheels over and boosts up to the first satellite to redirect it to the hideout antenna* One down, two more to go.

Carmelita: You're the brains, hacker, resident demolitions expert, and resident radio control expert.
Panda King: Explosives are my specialty, Inspector Fox. Must I remind you?
Penelope: Radio Control's my specialty too, Carmelita. Don't forget that. Also, I'm surprised that you got a single-winged fighter plane. I'm also a full-time air pilot and dogfighter, Sly's pretty good, but he blew his plane in attempt to land onto the whale-fly to get back his cane from Dr. M.
Carmelita: Yeah. Is it possible to repair the Cooper Plane from scratch?
Penelope: I've been tinkering with planes and RC vehicles since I was a kid. Of course I can rebuild Sly's airplane. Of course, I can upgrade your airplane with an airplane launcher and a missile launcher. Sly's plane was equipped with those thanks to Bentley, Murray, and myself.

Carmelita: *sighs* Fine, let me show you. *she and Peri go down to the hanger and she shows her airplane, a red single-winged plane with Interpol's badge painted on the sides of the fuselage and on the lateral wings* This is the airplane I flew in to participate in the ACES dogfights in Holland, before the Black Baron shot me out of the sky and I had to pull off an emergency landing. It's been issued to me by Interpol.
Bentley: And that's the bi-plane that Murray and I put together for Sly for the ACES Dogfights. Muggshot tried to destroy the plane as well as our aircraft hangar in Holland to get even for what happened to him in Mesa City.
