Wow, that's just fantastic!
I really like the idea and your vision of Hell. It's unique and different. There is a visible contrast between the fire gate and the water. I think this gives it the feeling of an escape.

Looks like the Greek underworld back there...is that Hades, god of the dead? Perhaps Charon, the skelatal ferryman? That's where my imagination is taking me!
I like that you've shown other versions! It's interesting to see the process of creativity, I think. Experimentaion with lighting, new techniques, positioning are essential to keep one's art alive!

The eye of the beholder is one of the things I love about art. Even in pix that seem "cut and dry", there's always room for an individual's unique interpretation...I saw Greek mythology (yes, I think using the devil would have limited the piece) because I'd read it...others might not have, and substited another scenario culled from culture and personal experience.

Thanks for your Impressions. ItΒ΄s really difficult to tell a story in an image, sometime it works...sometimes not. IΒ΄ll try to get away from the simple cut-out-and-put-together-thing, but thatΒ΄s not so easy
