Description In my sight, yet on the fringe
My whole world, becomes unhinged
Standing there, on the verge
Our two worlds, won’t seem to merge.

It feels like we’re almost there
But something still blocks our pair
I wish I knew what to do
To make one out of our two.

I find myself, on my knees
Peace of mind, just a tease
Despite all this, I still drive on
And will do so, till hope is gone.

It isn't any better when you desperately want to have that person be the love of your life, but somehow, somewhere, that love just disappeared.

The first stanza was especially poignant.

Reading the last stanza, I notice that deep within I knew the outcome all along...subconscious trying to warn me, like so many people...I listened to none.
