Description
His feet hit the ground with hard thuds. No one knew why he kept running, was it a superhuman act? Was it pure will? No one knew. His clothes had disappeared to only leave him in his face as he ran. He breathed so fast it seemed he was about to die. The crying face ahead of him kept him running, his soaked brown hair flowing in the wind. He found he was not fast enough and put all of his power behind his legs, further surprising the men who were trying to disintegrate him. He reach the truck, reaching out his hand for her to reach out to. She did and clasped it. They fell together, the man in agony. His will reduced. They're lips touched as their skin turned to ash, leaving a pile behind.Related content

Here
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.
