Description Another Potsdam photo, but this one I remember.

We were at the castle Sans Souci, which is the German version of Versailles. Basically, Wilhelm II (I think that was his number) visited Versailles and said "this is nice, I want one." There's a lot of gold and a lot of French art work, plus lots of classical Greek sculptures, because that was all the rage back then.

This photo was from out in the garden, where there were statues of each god and goddess. This is Athena, and her symbol (animal, familiar, whatever) was a bird. I'd like to direct your attention to the very real bird sitting on her head. That alone makes this one of my favorite shots thus far.

Who wouldn't be jealous of me? Though I do miss everyone at home.
