Description
We were walking along this nice old road in Weimar, we turned the corner, and suddenly: William Shakespeare! It was a bit of a surprise, let me tell you, as there aren't many statues of Shakespeare in Europe; England, yes, Europe, no.Apparently, the first man to translate Shakespeare into German lived in Weimar. Hence the statue.

When i saw him the first time, the first reaction was similar to yours. What the hell is he doing here?! Now it is one of my favourite spots in Weimar.

And what a cool statue it is! I think it represents Shakespeare very well.

Oh yeah, definitely. But still, it was like: turn the corner, oh look, Shakespeare. What's that doing there?

Must have been fun to find out the story behind it, as well as have that nice little surprise.
