Well...at some point we'll have to admit that Dumbledore is gay.That fact makes me think of all the chapters in the book, all the things Dumbledore said once and all the things he did. And of all, I think this is the most freaky part.
What is the REAL thing Dumbledore sees in the mirror?
I bet 1000 galleons to Grindelwald. NO, NOT THE SOCKS. I can't trust him anymore.

In the books it shows him holding all three Deathly Hallows thus making him the master of death. It doesn't show his sister, thats the Resurrection Stone. Unfortunately it doesn't show Grindlewald (I WISH) *cries*

I watched HBP right after I read the whole "Dumbledore gay" thing, and it just... bothered me for some reason. I don't know why, but every word he said, every motion he made reminded me of the fact that he was gay.
Not that I have anything against gays; hardly, seeing as how my two best friends are bisexual and another friend is gay, but it's just... I wondered whether or not Albus had eyes for Harry... and it disturbed me.
I love this comic, btw. Excellent job.

Well, if the majority of his family members hadn't died, I'd agree that he saw himself with Grindlewald, making the world a genuinely better place and such while also getting into his pants a little.
But now, I think that the Dumbledore that has come about because of certain life events would see him with his family again, seen as how he realized what Grindlewald was all about

You know? I would bet he saw Grindelwald or his family...Poor Dumbledore. His life had just as much tragedies as anyone else, only he put them on the back burner to help Harry save the world and make the world a better place...

Why mention he was gay? She didn't in the book s because it wasn't necessary (I mean, those books are already long enough!) Why did she mention it at all? Because this shows why Dumbledore was so blinded to the evilness of Grindelwald! He was in LOVE with him! We /all/ know love makes people blind and foolish, straight or gay. It also shows how sad it must have been for Dumbledore to kill his one true love. It's even on a chocolate frog card! That must pain him to see everytime he just wants to have a piece of candy. So why mention it? Because it's a tragedy of his life- it's part of the /character/. It's a big part of Albus' life. It makes him killing Grindelwald even more sad. It shows how tolerant of a person he is- just another example of how openminded Doubledore is.
There are some things you just can't choose about a character. To J.K., Dumbledore's probably always been gay. She didn't just make him gay on an instance. It doesn't work like that. (Take it from a person whose writing a few books.) Characters have minds and personalities of their own, and sometimes its nearly like their sitting over your shoulder dictating what you write. Most authors will tell you theyβve had one experience like that. Sure, it's fiction. But, hey, to us writers, our work is our CHILDREN. It's more real to us (not that I think J.K goes around trying to fly on a broom.). I'm just saying the characters are real in some ways, so I doubt J.K would be able to change such a part of his character without Dumbledore always having been gay.
My point is (my extremely long point) that Dumbledore is the character he has always been- wise, awesome, human, tolerant, powerful, etc. He's most likely always been gay. So if you liked him as a character before you knew- well, you still liked a gay character. You just didn't know he was gay. It shouldn't change how you perceive people. If Rowling never said anything, it wouldn't change the fact that Dumbledore was gay. No one would know he was gay though- we'd all just assume he was straight or something. But the essential character, Dumbledore himself, would still be gay. It's just part of his character. No one else knows the characters as well as the author.
