+Galepaw is very intellectually gifted. He understands things quicker than one would expect a cat his age to comprehend, and manages to use this to his advantaged. Genuinely interested in how the world around him functions, this brings natural curiosity. His empathy, while constructively only reserved for a few cats, also manages to give him further insight into how others function. He observes from afar, movements and expressions, able to deduct emotion quickly and easily, allowing him to learn more about a cat beforehand. Galepaw takes his progression as an apprentice very seriously, he places work above a social life, and when tasked with something will do what he must to succeed wherever he is placed.+

=Galepaw sees the world in set moves. He searches for meaning behind actions and always looks at the end result before acting himself. He sees the world as one big game, and he is simply here to place the pieces in his favour. Not being one to form close bonds with just any cat, he's very protective of those who happen to drift close to him. His sister Frecklepaw, for example, means everything to him. Having practically raised him, Galepaw would trade his life for her's. Adding to this, Galepaw tends to keep to himself rather than share his ideas. He feels as if speaking his mind would be more detrimental than helpful to him.=

-Galepaw, despite strategic intelligence, is quite reckless. To him, all that matters is the end result, and his actions in between do not. He will often place himself and others in danger if he knows that if he succeeds, he can benefit at the end. Galepaw is very cold, in the sense of aggression. He controls it, and uses rage to his advantage vengefully. One to hold a grudge, if crossed even once he shows to sign of forgiveness, and channels this 'cold' into destroying his offender, meanwhile only harming himself in the process. He doesn't realise the anguish he causes, blinded by anger he simply sees the faults the other has committed. Ofcourse, with this, Galepaw is obviously very quick to anger. Much of this turns physical, and Galepaw, in this instance, is overcome by burning anger, not cold.-

History:

{Prologue}

Smokestorm had been travelling for many moons, and the journey hadn't been kind to her. Her health deteriorated as her siblings had all passed, one by one. Beginning to question her faith in the validity of a promised land, she began to lose hope. Smokestorm, though, was adamant to continue the journey, knowing her siblings had not died for nothing. After many moons, weary and exhausted, she finally arrived at their new home.

Smokestorm slowly began to heal, acquiring new friends, rebuilding her life to about what it was before the journey. It was then when Smokestorm met Harvey, a tall lithe rogue with unkempt long fur, bowing his head in defeat as she approached claiming he was simply passing through. Though, Smokestorm saw something in the rogue, and offered to sit down for a chat. Surprised, Harvey snatched the offer of friendship and they quickly began talking. And they talked and talked till Silverpelt rose in the sky once more, and it was time for them to part ways.

For some reason, call it fate, Smokestorm was drawn to that same place they had met, and sure enough, Harvey was there. He too was hoping to find Smokestorm here, and again they spent the day together. This continued for many moons, and Smokestorm knew she could not drag this out any longer. She confessed to him, and to her surprise he reciprocated her feelings. Some moons later, Smokestorm found herself pregnant with Harvey's kits. Excited, but conflicted, she broke the news to Harvey, who too was ecstatic at the good news. Though, a difficult conversation hung over them for most of Smokestorm's pregnancy, and a half a moon before the kits were born, Smokestorm brought up the question of how they would be raised. She initially thought Harvey would insist on her raising them by herself, but instead, Harvey pleaded her to let him join the clan. Smokestorm was unsure, but knowing she was racing against the clock to decide her family's future, she brought Harvey back to camp. Hours of pleading and begging later, Harvey was accepted into the clan under the new name of Wildgaze, named for his fur and his piercing amber eyes. Smokestorm, despite constant criticism for bringing in a rogue, was elated. She gave birth smoothly to three healthy kits; Frecklekit, Tangledkit, and Galekit.

"You might be having some idea of ganging up on me. You could probably beat me up pretty bad. But just remember what I do to people who try to hurt me. From then on you'd be wondering when I'd get you, and how bad it would be. It would be this bad. It would be worse"

Galekit was alone from the start. Being the smallest of the litter, he butt heads often with many of his nursery-mates. He wasn't safe within his own family, either; Tangledkit harboured a deep hatred for Galekit that he simply could not understand. They fought often, serious fights, once Tangledkit was found pressing on Galekit's tiny chest, Galekit gasping to breathe and flailing his limbs.

His mother favourited him out of protection, and Tangledkit only grew more bitter. Yet, Galekit still found comfort in his parents, but especially in his sister Frecklekit. She stood up to Tangledkit, offered Galekit protection, but also functioned as a role model. Through silence Galekit observed how she spoke, how she asserted herself and demanded her rights. Galekit implemented this, not losing his reserved nature, but gaining the same protective nature.

Galekit loved his sister, and she was more a mother, formatively speaking, than his actual mother. Wildgaze was very involved with the kits, not being trusted to carry out many clan activities for the first few moons, Wildgaze spent much of his time with the kits. However, Wildgaze simply didn't click with Galekit. Wildgaze always held a diplomatic attitude, solving his problems by conversation and not quick action. Galekit noticed this quickly, and found it pointless. Tangledkit continued to become more and more vicious, using his brother's suffering to beg for any sort of parental attention, only wanting to feel special. Turthfully, Tangledkit loved his brother more than anything, but his actions, which he regretted, had turned the relationship toxic. One especially difficult incident occurred when Galekit and Tangledkit had gotten into a serious fight the night before they were apprenticed. Galekit managing to land a few blows on his brother, but he was soon clawed across his face, leaving him shivering in pain. Frecklekit quickly rushed her younger brother to the medicine cat, their mother being asleep. From inside the den, Galekit could overhear his siblings' conversation. Frecklekit yelling desperately and Tangledkit, calling him a coward, a murderer. Tangledkit pretending not to care. Once the medicine cat had left him to rest, all he could do was weep. But, when Frecklekit came to check on him, his tears were dry, he promised he wouldn't let this happen again. He did not cry anymore.

The three siblings were finally named apprentices. Galepaw took the challenge head on, here he could prove his worth, prove he wasn't simply a tiny scrawny little worm like Tangledpaw thought he was. He vowed to do whatever it took, to make Frecklepaw proud.

She winced as soft drops hit her nose, craning her head upwards towards ever-present clouds. Newleaf was welcomed by all the Clan-cats, and those surrounding them, surely, but Alderstripe was sick of constant reminders interrupting her day.

She peered around the den, searching for signs of life in the rest of the nests- nothing. Alderstripe huffed, seeing she'd woken up late again. Although, looking at the weather, that didn't seem like such a tragedy anyway.

Forcing herself to move, she rose to her paws, groggily wincing at the sound of brambles crunching under her steps. She squinted approaching the entrance, momentarily pausing to let her eyes adjust. She'd gone on a hunting patrol yesterday, and the battle of Sunningrocks was only days prior. She'd expect many warriors, such as herself, to take a rest day, yet-

"Alderstripe!" a great voice boomed, echoing through the camp with the volume of it, the pitch easily recognisable; high and mighty with a small crack at its end- Goldenwing. Alderstripe groaned to herself, expecting another patrol.

She approached the deputy inquisitively, why would they bother any warriors during such a rainfall. Trying to compose herself despite her soaking pelt, she stared up at the taller she-cat, but with no challenge.

"Take Branchwhisker and your apprentice to the Sunningrocks. Despite our victory in battle, RiverClan persists in their efforts. They are weak, I believe a smaller patrol is enough" she explained, flicking her tail occasionally and offering a warm smile to Branchwhisker, who sat beside her, the she-cat in question respectfully silent. She soon realised Goldenwing's request for Adderpaw, her apprentice. The cat was simply seven moons, and despite being excellent in his training, she was confused as to the deputy's rash decisions to place such a young cat in pressing matters.

Alderstripe decided to try her luck; "Miss," she began, dipping her head before speaking. "I understand the patrol is important, do not misunderstand, I simply question-" that wasn't the right word. "I mean, am curious of the efficiency and safety of Adderpaw's accompaniment. Certainly myself and Branchwhisker, both experianced, could take out RiverClan cats on our own."

At this, Goldenwing offered a soft chuckle, easing the other cat's nerves. "I'm aware of his age, Alderstripe" she began, her muzzle twitching as soft water droplets hit her whiskers. "Adderpaw will become a talented warrior- me and Stormstar have discussed ending his apprenticeship early seeing he spent an extra moon in the nursery. Let him prove himself in this simple border patrol. If peril arises Im sure you will do the right thing, Alderstripe, you are his mentor after all." she answered softly, the great smiley she-cat's head dipping respectfully to the two, who uttered nothing but nods.

"Go on then, fetch Adderpaw and head to Sunningrocks. If you do not return by sun high, a following patrol will go to aid you. I assure you will follow through yes?" she gave them no time to answer, shooing them from the clearing with her paw.
