what programs did you use, this is NICE, nice photoshop work, if that is what you used, which is most likely, and, what program did you do the render with?
this is very, very nice, this is kinda late, but, +fav

Oh God, another guy who wants me to take a look at his stuff, maybe somebody desperate for pageviews and comments, so let's just make this quick, click over here and - (falls over)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!! PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHEEEEEEEIT !!!! DAAAAAAAAAMN!!! YOU (italicized, heh) YOU would be grateful? I would be more than honored to take a looksie at this piece! Forget what I was saying before...
Highlight: depth. You have lots and lots of depth. There is a lot of volume to this piece, and that beam of electricity just CUTS right through it bringing the foreground and background elements together almost SEAMLESSLY. God, I'm still reeling from the awesomeness of this piece, if I forget to +fav this after I post this comment, write me an egregious angry note PRONTO telling me to get off my duff and fav this piece!
Geez, gotta get back on focus. The goodness of this piece astounds me. Eeeergh....breaking.....my own.....rules....for.....critique! Aagh! Must stop shameless....agh....shameless display of uproarious praise...!
Okay focus. Good part to focus on this piece. Focus. The focus is another highlight of this piece, as it really brings this piece together, instead of breaking it into seperate layers.
Honestly, there isn't a lot of room for improvement, but I'd better pull something outta my behind, or this wouldn't be a very good critique now would it? For starters, there's a gap in the upper left, right where the light dims out on the surface. The flow seems to fall off right there, and honestly, my eye gets stuck there when I look at it. What you could do is create some schematic drawing, which shouldn't be too much of a problem after looking at the bottom of the piece. I feel that something should be there, but it shouldn't be too noticeable. What I would advise is creating something in the corner that pushes the eye back to the center, yet keep it dull and dim so it doesn't detract from the focus of the piece.
You could also try something similar to the area just to the lower right of the bolt. But that would be completely up to your discretion.
Also, I'm assuming that there's an impact effect at the base of the electric bolt. It's very well done overall. In the upper left portion though, the blast effect should be spread out a little bit more, so it's equal in distance to the blast effect in the upper right.
You could try a lens flare, but there isn't anything more PS n00b than the dreaded render --> flare filter. What you could try is make more of an aura around the base of it, and if it were a little uneven looking, that would also look more interesting.
Bear in mind that these are just suggestions, and though they may look nice in my own head, my head is a dangerous dangerous place of wonder and intrigue. On its own, this is an amazing piece, and worthy of being part of a prints account. Hope this helps!
