Actually GIMP can open psd files and handle them. What i meant was that one have to kind of translate the tutorials out there in "gimpish" so to speak
Did you ever checked out GIMP?
If you download the layer styles Scripts it is really an "low budget" alternative for PS - if one cannot effort the money and dont want to steal it... but I fear that either I am so terrible poor or most of the PS users got hacked versions.
I wish the GIMP community would increase more.
Anyway, keep up your awesome works!!!
