Btw - I asked my mother about black roses and she told me of two species. The one that's deepest black (but otherwise not very pretty) is Black Baccarra. (Or Baccara). The other she said was blackish red and beautiful, but currently she cannot recall its name.

I've a feeling the ones I used might not have been fully natural. Perhaps colored. I have seen the blackish red ones, though, and do quite like them.

Colouring is easy, but it ruins the leaves. It always shows. If the leaves or roots or anything is also blackish - or some other colour, then you can bet it's not natural.
