Description
so this is where my mind has taken me in terms of exploring mycozoans further. This can either represent their evolution and basic shapes that survived to the present.
the first one is the simplest of the bunch, and it definitely doesn't look like that! I swear it wasn't intended!
anyway, moving on...
having the basic anatomy set up with a bulb at the base sprouting the reproductive bodies sprouting out of it, the second concept is a natural progression, just having more reproductive bodies sprouting from a single bulb.
The third one takes this idea even further, supercharging the reproduction of a single individual and packing the reproductive bodies so tightly together so that they actually create a disc-like structure.
Now here is still some wiggle room to play around with thic concept. Option three could be its own "final form" or it could just represent a base form, with number four and (unmarked) number six showing two possible branching patterns. Number four is new, vaguely horsetail-like, while number six should look at least somewhat familiar, it follows a regular branching pattern just like the original sketch.
Number five is decidedly charnia-like or reminiscent of a fern, and it would probably represent a sister group to number 3 both of which would have a common ancestor that looked similar to number two.
Future sketches will probably solidify these ideas even further.
I am also sort of thinking about yet another shape, basically something that has branches like a tree or bush, but it has no leaves on it. sort of like a coral-looking thing but on dry land.Β

well it's gonna be soon-ish, it's not like i'd write something of much consequence anyway. I'm just lazy to edit this at this point XD

AND THE WAIT IS OVER! I really like how much you analyze these and think out potential evolutionary traits, it's fascinating to read, to think about, and I'm very much looking forwards to future installments!
(and it is of consequence to at least one whole SPECIES in a world that has yet to exist! keep dreaming and pondering on life's great mysteries! Β )

That's a very ominous description you got there...
but seriously, I'm looking forward to learning more about these, they look fantastic!

You should be able to do it if you access the mobile site on the web browser on your phone... Β thereβs this cogwheel icon under which there is the option to edit it (but saying that now, I donβt know if you can only edit the picture)
