Description A ‘blue note’ is a musical note sung or played at a slightly lower pitch than the major scale for expressive purposes, giving it a slightly melancholy sound. It's often used in blues and jazz.

Not exactly. It's just a kind of title I've seen several painters and photograpers use when a certain colour is dominating. But that tradition could very well be connected to that story.

I love this one because it had shades of purple color and at first glance, I thought this white plant is a small snail at the end of the stem

I think that I actually have some pictures with snails on the stem. Now I must find them and do a blue-version of them as well.
