Description
While the blizzard of last Sunday was picking up steam, the streets of Manhattan - and, more surprisingly, the normally extremely popular tree at Rockefeller Center - were becoming nearly deserted; as evidenced by this image. There was only one passerby, one person admiring the tree, and one security guard - barely noticeable, in this picture - huddling under the branches, for a little protection from the falling, blowing and drifting snow. This photo was shot - comfortably - from inside the second story satellite studio of the Today Show, at 10 Rockefeller Plaza.
