Nice....usually you don't see pictures of the city involving much green... I really like this perspective.

Thank you! It's an incredible building - even more so since 9/11 - and I just happened to look up while sitting in Bryant Park, and had my camera with me...The shot almost composed itself, serendipitously!

Pull it off??? That sounds a little too severe to me. How 'bout I just apologize, instead?

Love this! You really picked up the distance and perspective up through the buildings. Shadings, contrast and colors are rich and full too! It's definately a keeper!

Thanks! After my half hour nap on the lawn of Bryant Park I sat on chair in the shade nearby and lit a cigarette. When I finally looked up I saw the Empire State Building, just as I photographed it - I didn't even have to stand up! The day before I had commented on a pic by another dA artist on a shot of the same building. So, I felt a real sense of serendipity to look up and see this photo, already composed for me...All I did was turn on my tiny little Canon PowerShot (which I love, as it's small size and prodigious out put for a 3.2 meg camera tends to mean that I have it with me more often than not) and take this serendipitously-already composed image!

I think serendipity is an understatement!

Yeah, it was fate, I guess...sort of a zen-like thing that led me there, as I rarely venture the mere 2 blocks from the studio to the park.

I'm jealous. I wish I lived in NYC. I'm stuck in po-dunk Oklahoma and there's nothing fun to take pictures of here.

Luckily, I don't live IN NYC - I live in the suburbs, out on Long Island. You must have parks, lakes, hiking trails or something along those lines near you, no? What about old buildings, farms museums - these are some good places to find some interesting photo ops.

Thank you so much for the and for adding me to your friends list - I appreciate it!

In all honesty I haven't really looked. I don't know my way around all that well. I'm here for school so I haven't really bothered to find my way. I need to get out and look around.

Your pictures are awesome, of course I'd watch you.

If you get the chance you really should try to find whatever photogenic sites might be nearby. Are you from the midwest/Oklahoma area?

Thanks for the kind words and the watch!

Yeah, I'm in Stillwater. Maybe I'll have time to go and look around sometime.

It's no problem. Nothin you need to thank me for.
