The full title for this image, which is too long for deviantART, is "Sub-Arctic/Pseudo-Tropical Abstraction". This photograph was from inside the semi-tropical clime - by the indoor pool and spa of the motel we were staying in a week ago - in Fairfield, Iowa. Outside the air was about five degrees Fahrenheit; but from inside this pseudo-tropical room, the condensation formed a multi-faceted, nearly kaleidoscopic abstraction of Route 34.

This very same motel is where Sally Ann and I spent our very first night together - 1 year, 2 months and 3 weeks ago: It was a magical first meeting, in the physical realm; but it was as if we were two halves of the same soul, reuniting - for the very first time. While our lives had been intersecting, ever since the 5th grade, that night was the first time we'd ever formally met face to face. I'll never, ever forget.
