Description
I found this vole on a walkway at our house earlier today. I moved it off onto the leaf litter aside the walk and went inside to grab my camera. After I rolled it over to photograph its other side, I checked the LCD screen and noticed the blood drops. One of our neighbor's cats must have left it for us as a gift. It's happened at least once before: Death - it's a part of life.
