Description
This drawing is one of my many "worm eye views" of the Strata & Rocks below our feet. l think the continual process of evolution & erosion that we are all part of & the forces that make it happen (above & below the earth's surface), is fascinating & wonderous.Hand drawn image in pen & ink with stippling technique + line work .......... until my hand fell off! 13cm x 9cm.

i agree. i guess we are just on a piece of rock that is hurtling through space which is still evolving - the only difference is that - now - we are here to witness it ................. not sure if i want to see what is ahead - or currently happening in some places on earth.
at the risk of sounding like a real anorak (?!), erosion is fascinating - such amazing force. sometimes very gentle over millions of years & at other times very powerful in a split second. both produce incredible results........ must put that anorak on!!

Cool! Same here. Been a long time since I've been able to get into any geo stuff lately, but I've always loved studying why formations came to be. trying is always a good first step

hi - many thanks!
how long? ........... many ............... many ............. years!! i was initially inspired walking on the west coast of scotland - my drawings are my attempt to acknowledge the beauty and isolation that i experienced.
have you been to scotland?

Sometimes when I`m watching photos of Scotland castles, lakes and highland theres only one idea in my mind: "I wish be there" Y-Y

your stippling is consistently fantastic! i can't seem to get the hang of transitions yet, they never turn out the way i want them to, and i end up making everything too uniform. more practice i guess...

Absolutely exquisite, and well worth the impediment of your hand falling of.
It never ceases to amaze me the discipline you have towards your work.
