Description
Everyone Loves Java! ....well, this was a mini-series I worked on with my friend Kensuke Okabayashicreator/ writer/ pencils Kensuke Okabayashi [link]
inks Peter Palmiotti
It was quite a challenge for us both, this was Ken's first venture into doing a comic and he was exploring his 'comic style' while we worked on the book. I was also playing around with how I was inking him....3 issues done and I think we had some great pages and some not so hot.
Its worth picking up, and am so proud to have worked with Ken, he's gone onto bigger and better things (ckeck his site out!) and now he's got a new Java book out too! Go pick it up!!!

not too shabby i say, maybe over detailed on the penciller's part, but really nice work done here.

Yeah, as I talked about above...it was a search for style. We did simplify by issue 3.

glad you said that, i am one who doesn't like the modern over detailed crap we see in every comic book that comes out these days, editors are just looking for people with ARCHITECTURE skills more than anything else, the good days of story telling are way behind us i think, now it's all about being realistic, and simulate Photo reference to the letter, i actually hate that no offense meant to the great artists, but just can't pay money for that stuff, just can't

Another great addition to your resumΓ©.
I don't think most people realize how versatile inkers must be.

Man, I'm sorry but I'm just a huge fan of good inking. I'd love to see you tackle an old John Byrne X-Men piece back when Terry Austin was kicking ass on the book.

Funny, I was just checking out an old JB Xmen issue, John does post pencils on his website....I just don't have enough time to do whats already on my plate...perhaps if a wealthy fan was to make a request! Hint hint! (to all you wealthy fans out there!)

Believe me, if I were wealthy I'd definetly pull the trigger on pic like that.
