Description
This is a speed paint I did using Painttool SAI. I like the overall form but I think the house is a bit of letdown as there is a lot more I could have done with it. The lighting was a bit touch and go with this one and I'm still not completely sure it is correct. Despite all this I hope you like it and please feel free to comment. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
Peter

Thank you that means a lot to me . Quite a few people have liked this one so I'll carry on with these I think.
The shapes are what define my style I think as they are mostly very curvy and exaggerated.

Thanks. I like to exaggerate everyday things like houses and kitchen stuff and also people's faces cus that helps with characterisation .

Thanks.
The games are pretty awesome to be sure but there is a final fantasy film called Advent Children, look it up on YouTube if you feel like it.

Thank you!
I shall keep going until I drop . SAI really agrees with me for some reason, probably cus I started off with oils and acrylics before moving to digital.

You're very welcome m8. Yeah I find SAI works well for me too, especially trying lineless work for my environments, it must be that SAI's tools are far easier to get around than Photoshop.

Yea there is that but also it does not take a super computer to run SAI whereas photoshop needs a 1.5 ghz processor or better, which I don't have but it does work fairly well with my computer though it's not always smooth sailing .
Aaaanyway how are things where you are at the moment?

Yeah I see what u mean. Photoshop runs really slowly on my computer leading to me refraining from using it often unless for adding finishing touches to my drawings. But yeah things are good at the moment. Just doodling in my A5 sketchbook again.

Aye t'is the case with that software but it has it's uses. I think SAI is better for people with traditional painting skills like us.

Now that I agree with I like that SAI is very easy to get around.

Have you ever used Corel Painter? That program is sooo frustrating to use and is why SAI is by far my favourite. Painter has the tools but it is not optimised for speed like photoshop and PaintTool SAI.
Sorry for the long explanation but come to mind just now.

Yep I've used Painter b4. It worked very slowly on my computer before I moved on to SAI. But the tools are great on Painter, then again MyPaint works in a similar way to Painter now that I think about it.

Oh yea MyPaint, I used that a few times though I'm not really a fan to be honest .
Hmm...I think these smaller programs like SAI and ArtRage are more for us as they aren't as complex, don't take a particularly impressive computer to run them and they seem to have the tool setup especailly for painters whereas photoshop and painter are more good all rounders for photographers, painters ect.
yay for SAI!! .

Ah I see Yeah I agree that the smaller programs like SAI and that are for guys like us. In time, we'll get round to mastering photoshop one day, as long as you know the basics of it then the rest is for us to just find out for ourselves really. Trial and error is the way to go about it.
But YEAH for SAI!!

Aye that be true though I'd rather stay using SAI as it helps you to work faster and it is more user friendly so to speak.
Don't get me wrong, photoshop is an amazing program and I have done some pretty good work in it in the past but sometimes the pen pressure means you'll have to go over the same spot quite a few times and that costs time.
