I've done a few geometric construction type pieces myself and have gone through rolls of tape.. always have a few lying around the studio

I love your composition but don't understand the color much. I think that the value on the three strip diagonal bars should be vary according to the perspective to deepen the space.

You're partially right. What you are talking about is a so called aerial perspective. But that only applies if there is an atmosphere. Theoretically if there is no such an atmosphere this perspective shouldn't apply to those bars. At least I think so
