Description
Colour pencil sketch of American actress Angelina Jolie, drawn with Derwent and Prismacolor pencils 16x23cm on sketching paper.
A smaller scale sketch which came out a little better than I anticipated - I was trying out Derwent and Prismacolor pencils. I'll work on a larger scale drawing another time...

The Polys are an oil base so I've heard..lack of waxiness. Awesome portrait. Paul? Im pretty sure you could create a masterpiece with a box of crayola crayons if its all you had.

Lovely one Paul!
She might need to rest her tired eyes...
So how did you like the pencils?

Thanks Cher, I agree it isn't the nicest reference picture I could have chosen of Mrs Jolie.
Not sure I'll give up the polychromos just yet, I'll have to figure how I can work them more together with each other. The Prismacolors are a little more waxy than the faber castells, It is just a little more getting used to I'd say..
Thanks

I like the reference being different that what we usually see... She looks natural and that's very cool!!
You'll get used to both. They each have a certain something you'll grow to like.
