Beautiful! My favourite things about this drawing: The pretty green eyes, great eyelights & heart shaped pupils; the rosy cheeks; the shine on the lips.

you are welcome. My drawings are too light people often say. How do you make your shadows?

Thanks I checked out your work, your outlining is quite good, I would suggest you try using more layers of colour, working lightly at first and then darkening or more using more pressure as your work progresses. For shadows try using different colours in your shading, darker flesh tones or light blues and greys over the lighter flesh tones you have used. Good luck

thanks for this. I read in a book that all shadows are blue in nature so have stated to use blues in shadows. greys I have been a bit wary of because I read black can be bad for a picture. But I will experiment and see how things go. I can recommend a good pencil for you to try for blond hair it is Caran t'd ache Luminance Olive brown 736. I find it works well with the Faber castell cream colour. I see you mostly use faber Castell pencils. Thanks a lot for the tips.

I agree, blues and greens work particularly well. I've heard a great deal about the Luminance pencils, must say I haven't tried them. Polychromos are easier to get in Ireland. No problem
