Description
A second colour pencil portrait on Penelope Cruz drawn almost entirely with Derwent artist pencils. Facial details with polychromos pencils. Drawn on smooth 160 gsm sketch paperI took a photo of the final drawing as I couldn't get a decent scan due to the white flecking/noise in the scanned image which isn't visible in the drawing.
Reference used was a photo I took of a billboard Nespresso advertisement (how sad am I

Scanning colored pencils is brutal. I had an image scanned at a print shop once, and all the blacks had a rainbow hue to them. The guy doing the scanning tried to tell me it was the drawing, I made him go into the scan on his system and correct the blacks. I didn't use them again.

I know, scanners can cause a number of issues, it is really difficult to capture the colours and tones, although the 'noise' issue was new to me. Not sure if it was using the derwent pencils or the type of paper I used.
Thanks for the comment
