I work 13 hours a day. I come home and dinner is ready, along with my beautiful wife.

The house is clean, the laundry done and the bed is made.

I shower and go to sleep, my peaceful wife sleeping happily next to me.

I’m a normal married man.

But I wake up from a nightmare and she can’t seem to ease my troubles.

The only person who can ease my troubles is not my beautiful wife, she doesn’t clean and cook for me every day, instead of a smile it’s a sarcastic remark.

The woman I love isn’t my wife but my best friend, (y/n), the woman who I have always wanted but never allowed myself to have.

I wake up from another nightmare, never being able to remember what it was.

I look over to my sleeping wife, steadily breathing a smile adorning her face.

I sigh and get up from bed, put on my work clothes from last night and walk out the bed room carefully as to not wake Petra.

I glance up at the clock as I make my way to the door, grabbing my coat along the way, 2:30am… great.

I step outside my white breath spreading through the icy air as is do up the last button of my coat.

“Why the fuck am I out here in the fucking cold! When I could be in my clean warm bed next to my wife!” My mumbled words come out quickly as I start passing down the sidewalk away from my neat apartment.

“No, I can’t sleep like a normal person I can’t be happy with my life.” I quicken my pace in hopes of further warming up my cold body, where was I even going. I knew exactly where I was going… (y/n).

I rounded the corner and looked up at the fancy apartment building, my eyes looking up to her window, would she even be up?

Of course not Levi you dumb ass normal people are asleep at 3:00 in the morning.

I sigh and go to start walking back home, it wasn’t worth it. I look back up one last time and as if god heard my prayer, her living room light turned on and I could see her shadowed figure moving around. I stop dead in my tracks, is this a sign?

Of course it’s not a sign you fucking idiot, it’s a person turning their fucking light on.

But if she’s up I should go check to see if she’s alright.

I rush inside out of the cold and straight into an elevator, which usually never happens ever. I’m usually waiting for like ten fucking hours for the hunks of death trap to arrive on my floor to pick me up.

I get to her door and see a light streaming out from underneath it, so she hasn’t gone back to sleep. I gently knock on the door, if she doesn’t answer I’ll go home.

But sure enough I hear her soft footsteps make their way to the door, the lock turning and the door slowly opening.

The first thing I see is her long (h/c) messily down contrasting against her (s/c) skin, glistening in the light. Her face slowly peeks around the door, until her crystal clear (e/c) eyes slip into view observing me and light up when they see me standing here.

She swings the door open to reveal her beautiful figure only draped with a loose button down top, if I’m right it was the one she wore to work today, it was short barely covering her ass, showing all of her legs, her foot lightly brushing the back of her calf as a sign of awkwardness.

“Is everything okay shorty, did you finally get told you couldn’t go on an amusement ride.” She rest a hand on her hip in her usual sassy manner, causing her shirt to hitch up higher revealing her lace black underwear.

I feel my tongue get swallowed down my throat.

Holy shit if I pop a boner just from seeing this I will never hear the end of it from shitty glasses.

I clear my throat and shake my head.

“No you brat, I saw your light was on so I came up.” Her eyes changed to a quizzical one.

“You saw my light on…?” Shit Levi you creeped her out.

“Yes I saw it turn on when I was looking up at your window.” She raised an eyebrow and continued her questioning stare

“You were looking through my window…. When the light turned on….. Okaaaay.” She gestured to come inside, I took the invitation and walked past her and stood awkwardly in her living room.

It has been a while since I’ve been here but it always surprises me how clean it is, I always expect it to be a pig sty.

(y/n)’s shuffling in the background peaks my attention, I turn around and I’m greeted with a vision of beauty, her leg up on her window seal looking out onto the lit up city, I almost lose my breath. The way her twinkling eyes observe the slight frost on her window.

If only she was mine…. What the fuck brain we are married to Petra remember, the beautiful woman who treats us like a king.

I try to wipe the thought from my mind, but it over takes my senses, if only Petra was you.

Instead of her smiling when I come home, I’m greeted with you in your jeans and Spiderman t-shirt, showing off ur cleavage, while sitting on the couch like that one time I came over to drop off your coat you forgot at the office.

Or right now instead of Petra I want the woman in front of me sleeping in my bed.

I feel my body step towards her as if it wasn’t in my control. If only her red hair was your (h/c) locks.

I Lift my hand up to her hair and brush my finger through it quickly.

So soft, unlike Petra’s, her hair was course from her straitening it, but yours was left natural. Her head turned around quickly and looked at my still outstretched hand.

“Did you just run your fingers through my hair, Levi?” My whole body shivered giving me goose bumps at the way she caressed my name. Her plump full lips rounding every letter the way her tongue touched her top lip, whereas Petra’s lips are so fake her constant application of makeup dried them, when we kissed they would leave colour on mine dirtying my face. (y/n) wore no makeup, her thick long lashes never needed mascara her clear skin need no foundation and if I kissed her lips … if I kissed her lips, her soft looking lips.

“Levi, shorty, Ackerman, earth to Heicho.” I pull my eyes away from her lips her voice breaking my line of thought.

She was looking at me wearily.

“Are you okay? Why are you up so late?” she moved her body to full face mine moving off the window, her hair swaying and falling gracefully around her face framing it beautifully.

My voice gets stuck in throat. What is this woman doing to me?

She steps closer to me and stands on her toes and places her forehead on mine.

I feel an instant blush rise to my cheeks, I look straight into her big (e/c) eyes showing concern.

“You feel a little hot Levi. Are you sick?” her scent entraps me the sweet smell of flowers.

She stays there for a while the slowly moves her face away and stand back on her flat feet.

As she moves back away I get the ability to function like a normal fucking human being back.

“No I never get sick idiot.” Still looking at me with worry.

“Then what’s wrong?” her expression is crumpled up in uneasy expression her lips pulled slightly into a line.

“I-I can’t sleep.” I slightly stutter.

OMG I sound like a complete fool she hates me I’m weird I’m creepy ahhhhhhhhh stop being a prick.

She lets out a sigh of relief, and lets one of her award winning smiles spread on her face.

“Ditto. So you thought coming over here would fix that problem.” She let out a slight laugh, but what she said was completely true.

“Yes.” I think it took a minuet for my brain to register what I just said… Shit.

“What?” her voice sudden showing her panic.

I know you heard me woman! Are you deaf?!

Is what in really wanted to say, but of course the words were stuck in my throat.

“Levi, what do you mean? I’m confused.” She looks at me pleadingly I know what she’s thinking, why is he here …

“It means… I can’t think of being anywhere else… but here with you.”

And the award for the stupidest thing said this century goes to me the selfish maniac who comes around at 3 o’clock in the morning and spouts shit.

She visibly swallows and looks down at her hands that are now gripped in front of her.

“Levi, should you be with your wife for that.” I feel a pang of guilt in my heart, of course woman, I want to be able to look at my wife and wish she was not you, but I do.

I step forward closing any distance between us, I lift my hand up and gingerly brush a strand of hair from her face and she inches away.

She hates me... You dun goofed.

“I’m sorry.”

That all u can say u idiot… you know what jump off a bridge come-on we need to haul our sorry ass and just forget about our want and need and die.

(y/n)’s sniffles bring me out from my inward outburst, is she crying?

“(y/n)” my gruff voice is so unworthy of ever saying her name.

She looks up at me her eyes watering.

You made her cry … you piece of dirt.

I go to move my hand to comfort her but remember her reaction before to my suddenly touching her and let my arm drop back down to my side.

“You are making it so hard to let you go.” My heart skips a beat.

Say what. Did I miss hear that. No way. But… yes way. Does that mean that… she feels the same way…?

My heart has gone from beating a mile a minute to just stoping all together.

I take a flying leap of faith and place my hand on the side of her face and look into her troubled (e/c) irises.

She doesn’t flinch away like last time but buries her cheek into my hand, and takes a wavering breath closing her eyes.

We stand like this for what feels like a few seconds but what in reality was eternity.

She opens up her eyes her emotions now fully in check. Her lip only slightly quivering.

“Levi. You’re married we can do this.” Her voice came out stern but weak, she was doing what I can’t, I can’t let you go.

I move my hand from her cheek to her hair, and lean forward until I’m centimetres away from her face felling her shaky breaths on my lips.

“I love you, not her.” Her quick breaths stop altogether and her eyes stare into mine longingly, her eyes show sadness and happiness at the same time.

I’m going to hell anyway, screw it.

I crash my lips into hers, my built up need for her, released all at once. What surprised me is that she matched my ferocity.

My other hand quickly made its way to her ass, grasping it slightly making her jump slightly.

She wraps her arms around my neck and tangles her fingers into my hair.

We part quickly to breathe and I start kissing and nibbling at her chin, I steal a quick glance upwards to see her eyes slammed shut, her bottom lip caught in her teeth.

I feel my excitement build as I quickly steal her lip with my own suckling on it softly, nipping. She lets out a slight moan, driving me crazy.

I ask for entrance into her mouth by slightly touching my tongue to her lips, she immediately grants me access and we start a battle with each other, both trying to explore each other’s mouth.

I win, barely, I gently stroke the top of her mouth earning another moan.

It pushes me over the edge, my hand starts fumbling with the buttons on her button down, making quick work of it.
