Description
This mod gives Alex his look from the SFIII series. The mod includes an alternate costume replacing the Story outfit, giving Alex his winter jacket from the SFIII cutscenes art.[Download link is in the top-right corner of this page !]

Mod provided as is, use at your own risk. It could break the game after an update or be considered a cheat as files are edited. That said, have fun ! And let me know if you spot any issue with it. Mod Manager and .pak versions are included.
This mod is best used in combination with the character portraits fix :

(Depending on the way you want Alex to show in the hud you might need to rename the .pak files so that they load in the desired order. For classic Alex to show up in the UI while running the character portrait fix mod, SFIII_Alex.pak needs to be renamed so that it loads first.)Β

[2016.04.13] 1.0 - Initial release. Pak distribution is a bit of a new thing, so don't hesitate to let me know if there are any issues with it. If it causes any problem use the Mod Manager version instead. Both are included in the download.

This is truly amazing!
One thing I would like to ask is if you could make a version which only changes his Story costume, I actually like the original one but I don't wanna miss the modded one with the cool jacket, replacing the ugly Story costume with this gem would be perfect.
I tried it out by removing the folder ''1'' but for some reason the character looked extremely weird (and scary, the textures made him look like a monster from a horror game) and I really would like to know if you could look into this.

Hi - in order to get the textures to show up properly as another costume slot you might have to edit the material files with an hex editor to replace some 01s by 02s or 03s. That's not something that I am familiar with though ...

Curious about why even with all files in the mod manager when trying to install the mod it says that no files were found? same with the Q/bison one. It sees them, click on it to install, and it says "Tried to install _____ but it has no files"?

Ha, not sure what's going on with that, this is the first error report I am getting ... Does it work fine with other mods ? If anything I'd recommend using the .pak version, it is even more straightforward. Good luck !

The mod is okay but I don't think changing his Head was necessary. The one you made looks derpy and creepy ("Street Fighter IV + Clay"-ish?). Could you possibly do a version where he retains his SFV face and skin color? I'm not a good modder but y'know... It would really make my day

For one, this mod is far better than okay. It's fantastic The face change was absolutely required. He actually looks like Alex now. Nothing Derpy and creepy about it. Also calling someones work derpy and creepy when you can't do it yourself and there for asking them for favors is a good way to get your request ignored.
