[IMPORTANT ! - Textures may sometimes load at low resolution on mods. To avoid this, locate the Engine.ini file in 
User/AppData/Local/StreetFighterV/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor and add the following line under the category [/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.TextureStreaming=False

Save the change and set the file to read-only. Textures should now always load at the appropriate resolution].

This mod gives Ken an alternate head and haircut, and a bearded variant. An animation swap for character select is also included.

The mod also contains a custom portrait for the health bar and character selection panel.
In order to get color portraits for the rest of the cast install the Character Portraits Fix mod first :

The mod is compatible with the SFV Mod Manager and with .pak distribution.
This mod is provided as is, use at your own risk. There is no guarantee that it won't cause an issue after a game update.

Installing the .pak version (recommended) :

1 - Create a folder called "Paks" inside "Steam\steamapps\common\StreetFighterV\StreetFighterV\Content".
2 - Create a "~pakmods" folder inside this "Paks" folder.
3 - Place either Kenheadmod.pak or Kenheadmod_MD.pak inside that folder. A good way to easily enable/disable such mods is to simply change their file extension so that the game ignores them, with something like ".pak_"

Installing the Mod Manager version :

1 - Get the Mod Manager here :

2 - Install it and make sure that you can successfully run the example mod (Mika/Chun/Cammy camera mod).
3 - Place the "Kenheadmod" and "Kenheadmod _MD" folders in the mods folder as explained in the Mod Manager instructions.
4 - The mods can now be enabled and disabled similarly to the example mod.

Known issues :

- You'll notice that the mouth is relatively stiff during the win and intro pose. This is a drawback of reducing the bones influences to the mouth ... in order to tone down the smile in character select. For some reason custom animations (which would allow to fix the smile very easily) do not seem to work in SFV, so if anyone knows why and knows a fix please let me know.

you've said it wouldn't be hard and that you'd just need to find time, but you made a q mod for maximilian
it's awesome that you did that, even if the mod won't be released publicly, but still, ken's face and hair are too terrible, which makes me sad because i like playing ken

Son lifting visage est beaucoup plus fidèle à l'original, bien joué!
Par contre, je trouve que tu aurais dû recolorer ses sourcils et sa barbe en blonds
ça aurait mieux donné, étant donné qu'il est blond!
Avoir Ken tout en blond aurait justement contrasté parfaitement avec Ryu qui lui a déjà la barbe noire...

Hello et merci pour le feedback. La pilosité de Ken, ca se discute ! Je pense que sa barbe pourrait en effet être plus claire, par contre les sourcils doivent rester bien noirs notamment par souci de cohérence avec les artworks de Alpha et Puzzle Fighters. J'aimerais d'ailleurs re-sculpter cette tête ... si le temps le permet !

Je suis parfaitement conscient qu'à l'origine Ken à toujours eu les sourcils noirs,
c'est pas ça que je remets en question.
(même dans le tout premier SF II' il a les sourcils noirs), je partageais simplement mon opinion
qui n'engage que moi, je dis des sourcils noirs sur une tête blonde c'est juste hyper moche voilà.
D'ailleurs, je comprends pas pourquoi à l'origine Capcom a eu cette idée bizarre de
taper des sourcils noirs sur un blond. Si à l'origine Capcom avait mis des sourcils "roux "
à Ryu, aujourd'hui tout le monde aurait trouvé "bizarre" qu'on veuille modder sur Ryu des sourcils "noirs",
si tu suis un peu le raisonnement...

Après pour le visage, y'a pas photo, t'as fait d'énorme progrès par rapport au Ken SFV,
ton lifting est de loin bien meilleur!
Si tu comptes encore le relifter, moi je le verrais bien mieux avec le visage de la version Ken SFIII,
un visage encore plus mature, méchant et virile (avec une machoire un peu plus "carré").
Comme le look et la gueule "bad boy" qu'il a dans le film d'animation SFII!
Parce que j'avoue que Capcom lui a vraiment donné une gueule de gamin dans SFV alors qu'il est sensé être plus "vieux"!

En effet cette version de Ken en anime est péchue - proche de Kenshiro ! Et bien sur le portrait SFIII/Ikeno est excellent. J'avais justement une sculpture plus agressive avant de faire le portage vers V mais il y a de grosses limitations dues a l'horrible pose faciale de l'animation de  character select - Il faut que j'arrive à modder ca ...
En ce qui concerne les sourcils noirs je crois me souvenir qu'il s'agit d'une référence au CEO de Capcom de l'époque, mais bien sur ce n'est qu'une rumeur sûrement déformée. Après on peut aussi imaginer que le cheveux blonds sont teints ... en bref si tu mets une perruque blonde sur Tom Cruise tu obtiens Ken

Évidement je suis un grand fan de Ken le Survivant (Club Dorothé oblige!) et la gueule qu'il a dans les derniers films d'animations est juste EPIQUE!
Même son corps musclé et sa voix virile c'est juste une tuerie!

Après moi je pense qu'à l'origine ce qui a donné naissance aux gueules virils Ryu/Ken tels qu'on les a vu apparaître dans l'animé SF II et dans le jeu SFIII ensuite,
cela vient en fait tout droit de l'intro de Super Street Fighter II, où l'on voit un Ryu matûre super vénère qui prépare son hadouken dans l'obscurité. (D'ailleurs, y'a un clin d'oeil à l'intro SSFII dans l'animé SFII, quand Ryu charge son hadouken en pleine nuit pour mettre fin au combat contre Sagat dans la prairie...)
Quelle claque cet intro! Même encore de nos jours, le Ryu SFV ne vaut pas celui de l'intro de SSFII.
Il a juste un corps de malade! On dirait un bodybuilder! Des muscles hypertrophiés avec des veines partout et une gueule de combattant qui a vécu...
Je comprends pas pourquoi Capcom nous ressort pas cette gueule méchante de Ryu qui l'a rendu si épique au lieu de sortir du grand n'importe quoi!

Indeed, the solution for now is to rely on the r/StreetFighterMods conversions. Thanks Anapneo for the link ! As soon as time allows (that is to say : around the first few weeks of january) I will double check everything and include the S2 paks in the download.

Hi Rob - unfortunately I have zero time on my hands at the moment ! If you want to give it a go feel free, the hair model and textures are separated similarly to the original so it should be straightforward. Some scaling and refitting might be necessary though.

The animation is completely broken for me. How would I go about going back to the original in game animation? The one included cause other costumes to have completely white eyes and when I pick ken he just stays in the idle poses the whole time.
