The clock tower plaza master Soren Saberhagen has gone missing! His whereabouts are unknown but perhaps his study can give us some clues on where he is and what he’s been up?

This is a special investigative roleplay event. Comment below to investigate an area of the room and gather clues. Bold which parts of the room you wish to investigate in your comment and a reply will be given with detailed information on that aspect. Please see this example for more details.

Description
You enter the study and look around. Despite the airs of nobility and formality Soren Saberhagen gives off his study is… surprisingly messy. It’s going to take a while to properly investigate every nook and cranny this room has to offer. You immediately look over the room and begin to break up each part into sections.

You notice at there is a harpsichord that takes up a good chunk of the room, as well as a mannequin that shows off some strange fashion choices, there’s also a lounge chair on the other side of the room as well as a left bookcase that includes some interesting collections, a horribly messy writing desk, and a right bookcase that offers even more books. You also can't help noticing the messy floor and the barren room walls. There has to be a clue on Soren’s whereabouts somewhere in here.

( I don't even know what Kiseki is doing here but never mind
Kiseki only meant to check out the situation, especialy since it isn't the first time the Clock Tower has been the birth place of troubles.... And it's Master as well. He wasn't surprised to see a messy room that fitted the owner but it didn't look right, it looked as if someone ravaged the place to look for something... Kiseki's curiosity first laid on the messy writing desk, deciding to check if there were any notes on the whereabouts of Soren.

The crown jewel of the room! -Or it would be if it wasn't buried underneath all these papers and junk. The first thing you notice is a tea cup sits on a stack of paper as well as an automaton and some burned papers. Your eyes then glide over to cubby holes that are filled to the brim. You notice that there are also several drawers embedded into the desk, although one appears to be locked. On the very top of the desk there lies a wine bottle, an anniversary clock and several stacks of books that appear ready to fall over any minute.

What item would you like to investigate next?

Kiseki quickly glanced over the messy desk and it's components before finaly deciding to inspect the burned papers, why would they be burned? Did they hold informations that explained the situation? He picked them up to be sure if there weren't any part that weren't burned and readable.

You investigate the remains of some burned papers. From what you can make it out it appears to be some records of past purchases. Most of the information on the top seems to be related to the clock tower; orders for new parts, food stock for the kitchens, etc but near the bottom… the pages are completely burned. Why would that be?

You investigate the teacup and the stacks of papers. The teacup is filled with an auburn colored tea. It is cool to the touch.  You wonder how long it has been sitting there and somewhere in the back of your mind part of you does not wish to know. The teacup and saucer sit on a stack of papers. Upon further inspection you realize its a bunch of boring paperwork involving clock tower. Orders for new parts. Payroll for the clocksmiths. Etc etc. Some of the papers date back to last Christmas. Clearly someone wasn't on top of things!

As you investigate Aquila Orel adds yet another book, a dream journal, to the mess that's on the writing desk.

Kiseki paid no mind to the dream journal, if Aquila left it there it meant that it wasn't much needed to find the reason of all of this mess. He decides to investigate the drawers, noticing there is one drawer that is locked, he remember Aquila mentionning she had found a key. He called over to her to get her attention to the locked drawer.

you open several drawers only to find them either empty or filled with wine bottle openers. Soren really needs a better organization method. The second drawer from the top appears to be locked. Maybe there’s a key somewhere…?

You quickly pluck the key from Aquila Orel and continue on with your investigation.

You unlock the 2nd drawer and open it to find... a map of the garden? Each area is marked with the latest sightings of the missing pandora members. The clock tower is marked with a large X as well as the forest of fall and the pandora castle. Were these places not to go?

Kiseki already knew Soren was a mess in itself, but his attention was more focused on the locked drawer. He quickly retrieved the key from Aquila ( without really saying anything as a thanks ) and opened the drawer, taking a look inside it.

He inspected the map and after a while, he decided to keep it for himself for the moment. If this concerned the Castle.... Then he himself was concerned, and his Master too.

After keeping the map in his pocket, he continues his investigation with the cubby holes

There are a collection of unsent letters addressed to pandora citizens you do and do not know. All of them are business related mostly involving shipments to the clock tower and the overall health of past visitors after their visit to the tower. Interesting enough several of the letters are addressed to the families of the missing pandora citizens although the contents themselves are completely blank. Now why would Soren have those on hand…?

Kiseki concluded that Soren was investigating for the missing people as well... Was that related to his disapearance? Does it means that know he was investigating the room as well he was in danger of disapearing as well? He'll have to be careful now. He put down the letters and decided to check next the music boxes, out of curiosity for those.

Kiseki sighed but it looked suspicious.... Why would they be dismantled? He knew Soren was a mess but he wasn't the kind who would do that? Were there people looking for something here ? He kept that in mind and looked around the desk before picking up the automaton ... What a curious machine.

A strange machine sits on the desk. The top half features a porcelain doll dressed up to be in high society Sitting at a desk. The bottom half is a series of gears and cogs. You crank the machine and are delighted to see the doll spring to life. The doll pulls a feather from her hat, tips it in a nearby inkwell and spells out the message ‘my name is lady patty and i am alive’ in large bold cursive. what an interesting device! and such a strange statement to make! Did Soren build it himself?

You investigate a rather large collection of books are stacked haphazardly on one side of the desk. As it turns out all of the books are from the clock tower library located down stairs. Anne of Green Gables, Moby Dick, the wizard of oz… all of the books seem to be related to the citizens who were brainwashed each book marked at specific passages and phrases involving the characters afflicted. It seems as though Soren was interested in the missing citizens just like everyone else. But at what cost? You cant underline phrases and scrawl in the margins of library books! Get your own copy for that you cheapskate!

He puts down the books properly on the table such as they won't fall, and makes his way for the door, carefully keeping the marked map that he had found in the locked drawer.

End of investigation for Kiseki ^^

You pick up the book and flip to the page that it was sitting on. As it turns out It’s a personal journal with the page you’re on filled to the brim with entrees on dreams. Most of the pages are either empty, torn out or blotted out by ink. You flip to a long sporadic entree detailing a dream Soren had with Nuria Lillian the master of the forest of four seasons. The entree reads that there was a murder and that it was Soren's job to investigate it. At some point or another Soren runs into his double lying on his death bed-

No wait? No. there wasn't a murder. Soren was supposed to find out who poisoned the king. But the king was Soren. Soren poisoned and later killed the king? But there was a witness. Neria. She was always there. Always watching-- the entree ends abruptly. You flip through the rest of the book only to find notes now and again about Nuria and Neria's personalities between random entrees about dreams. What a scatterbrain.

A key! Now this would almost certainly unlock something interesting, thought Aquila. "Hey! I've found a key! Maybe it unlocks something in here?" she yelled if anyone would pay attention and listen to her and direct her to some locked box before pocketing the key in one of her many seemingly bottomless dress pockets. She then carefully picked up the candle tray sighing. There was no way her cloak would be in a candle tray...... it was not on the floor, but probably elsewhere...

Kiseki Shineko quickly plucks the key out of your hand to continue on with his investigation.

You meanwhile, investigate the fallen candle and candle holder that’s on the ground. It appears that it fell off one of the book shelves. Perhaps it was an accident? There are several scorch marks and pieces of ash on the ground. It occurs to you that a wax candle shouldn't produce ash on its own. Could it be possible that soren saberhagen was burning something before he knocked the candle on the ground? But what? Papers perhaps?

As the key gets plucked out of Aquila's hand, she turned in startling surprise at to what it was, but Kiseki was blocking the view regarding the drawers. She would have to see those papers later... but burnt ashes? Most likely burned papers... but why were the papers burned? Why not just lock them up, like Soren did with the others? Was it an order to burn the end of a letter? That was common in extremely dramatic stories. But for now, lastly, there was a broken wine bottle. Wine was expensive! Was it possibly sitting with the others? Was it possibly sitting where her cloak was?

Aquila stood up off the ground and dusted off her dress, sighing. "Looks like my cloak isn't here... she thought to herself before scanning about the room and laid her eyes on the mannequin . A few memories of a previous exchange surfaced.

"If you want someone- or something for that matter dressed up finely- you can hire a mannequin- or take anyone from the Castle you know?"
Soren waves a hand,  "That's hardly the same." he says, holding back a fit of laughter at Aquila being poked like a pincushion.
"They're physically the same- " she huffed but it was a poor argument against Soren.
"But mannequins don't scream when you poke them."

Aquila shook her head at the unpleasant memory. Sure, Soren could be a complete ass sometimes, but he was still her comrade. She walked over, tripping over the edge of her dress after only a few steps in front of the mannequin.

A collection of shirts, pants and coat hang on the chair respectively. Upon investigation you notice a few  strange cuts and tears of the seams near the  cuffs of the sleeves. Ignoring the whole missing clock tower master situation the real mystery is why Soren has so many clothes lying about his study when he has an entire room dedicated to his wardrobe AND a bedroom. Maybe Soren cut the sleeves himself... or perhaps another person did? Was there signs that pointed to another person in the room? ((*Whispers* This is such a neat looking event, I'm excited~ and hoping I'm doing this right. OYL And that's an amazing image purps, so awesome! \o/))

William peered into the room from the doorway, still unsure if he should really go inside Soren's room. Would the CTP Master not notice things amiss were he to come back? He'd hate to get into trouble. Nothing hurts more than to be admonished by a person they look up to and respect. Still, he'd firmly resolved to assist in locating the missing master. After all, he still had much to learn and books could only get him so far! He needed proper tutelage!

Deciding it best to suck it up and dive right in (not like anything would be solved if he just stood in the doorway,) William took a deep breath and stepped inside the room. Unable to resist, he immediately went for the left bookcase, more than a little curious as to what kinds of books and strange trinkets the master might have collected over his years of life experience.
