Some time ago, I stumbled over this t-shirt-design: fav.me/d6fuvc4 by inhonoredglory and fell in love with it. I loved the way that it is perfectly HTTYD without telling so on first sight, plus I really like the old parchment-look. Unfortunately the design didn't win the contest and was therefore not available to buy in this configuration. There was an option, but it looked too rectangular for my liking.So, I had to make my own Interpretation and yeah, i stole the quote from Leonardo.
While painting I discovered the brush set by velvetcat and since then, I went crazy. It is just so awesome! I would have never thought to get such a perfect watercolor-ink-look on a computer, but this brush set made it really easy.
Yeah, I know, Toothless looks like he has four wings, but I like it this way.
The runes are three movie-quotes.

And that's the really great art, which deserve to be equated with Da Vinci arts. It's very stylish; just like the Master's arts. Bravo, my friend. That's one of the best HTTYD fan-arts from this kind! Absolutely awesome!

This is just stupendous. I do apologize for not answering your earlier questions on my original post. My dA has been suffering lately. XD But this is incredible!! Thank you for telling me about your piece, and crediting me. The splotches look incredible and the runestones add a great Viking touch. It's beautiful! The hint of red on Toothless' tail adds some nice color to the design.
