Glenda woke with a pounding headache and the taste of wine in her mouth. She had spent the night celebrating the profits that she had earned from the slave sale the day before. She reached out her arms to stretch, expecting them to find the muscular rogue that she had been flirting with all night and the soft linens of the bed she had paid the innkeeper handsomely for.

Her eyes shot open as her wrists instead felt the cold steel of her shackles. It was dark in the tiny cell. Her nostrils filled with the stench of the waste bucket next to her. She looked around at her surroundings. A cold chill ran up her spine. She had been in this place before.

"Hey! get me out of here!" She yelled struggling against her bonds, knowing her pleas would go unanswered. The whole night began to come back to her. The brawl, the city watch, the arrest.

The Aluin City Watch was famously corrupt. It was no secret that they had a special relationship with the Slaver's Guild. The Watch had long ago found that bringing certain criminals directly to the Guild was much more profitable for all parties involved. That is, all parties except the criminal.

Glenda leaned back against the wall. She had indeed been to this place before, The Slave Castle of Aluin, but never before had she been the one in chains.
