It simply means u can kill the creature before it deals combat damage to cho or wait until after. The difference made is that if you u wait until after and both cho and the creature blocking him survive combat u can get 3 +1/+1 counters instead of 2 due to his first ability. The real question i have with this card is why is he a 2/2 with all this stuff for 2 mana cuz that is just rediculous. He should cost more than 2 mana.
