this is great. and to fix the problem why not reverse the frames when he is writing i think it would fix the little tiny problem you are having.

depends, maybe he is writing in hebrew the icon is great but u know, whatever he writes there looks like he is drawing a square

As far as emoticons go, this is one of the best I've seen. Well done, and my first emoticon favorite ever.
I think this should definately be an addition to the Deviant emoticons, as I'm sure it would find much use. I would LOVE to see an Artist block icon similar to this!
