I don't really get pairings... I mean no offense to shippers but my little mechanical robot heart doesn't seem to grasp the concept. I think the only way I could ship anything noncanon is if I made it intentionally really terrible and just... terrible.Also I'm really bad at drawing messy things. I had to try soooo hard not to go all perfectionist on this, you have no idea.
It was really fascinating experience for me to finish a picture in one hour, though. :U Instead of, you know, like ten or more.
Anyway don't worry I promise I won't make a habit of this.

Tony: "APRIL FOOLS!"
Steve: "Stark, it's the 4th of July."
Tony: "...Oh? Then Happy Birthday, Cap!"

I always wondered if I was the only one who thought of those two together. They're both leader figures (of sorts), and they both have eye patches!
I'm also glad to see someone on here who doesn't support noncanon pairings as much as another person might. I, myself, have nothing too against it, but I don't quite get it either. I adore the idea of close friendships between the guys in the movie. I think, for starting off on such bad terms with one another (the whole team in general, but Tony and Steve especially), they've worked too hard on the friendships formed in the end to ruin it with a romantic one. This IS coming from someone who ships Tony/Pepper and Steve/Peggy, though.

Exactly! I love a good bromance way better than romance. I really enjoy watching characters grow to be pals and get along. I don't need to see them fall in love or anything. I don't really get that. Granted I'm just not a huge fan of romance to begin with.
I REALLY do support Tony/Pepper though, because they have a whole history and dynamic to them. Tony would screw around with all sorts of ladies who didn't really care about him, for a long time missing the one woman right in front of him who did always care--so when he finally realizes what he has with Pepper, it's a really powerful thing. I dunno, I just really enjoy them together. :]

Nearly every piece of art or fanfiction in the Avengers fandom has to do with noncanon pairings. Preferably between the guys on the team. It's why I get so giddy over finding anything that supports bromance. <3 I fangirl way harder over that, truth be told (at least, in this fandom 
I can proudly state that I shamelessly shipped Tony/Pepper from the very first scene of them together. You could just sense the affection that Pepper had for him, whether it was totally romantic at first or not. And in turn, it was plain to see that Tony enjoyed her company, even if it became clear fast that she wouldn't hesitate to chew him out if it meant steering him in the right direction. Lol. I was very happy to know they were officially together by the end of Iron Man 2.

I know right. Honestly I don't like the plot of Iron Man 2 that much, cuz it just seemed kinda silly and random, but I loved all the Tony and Pepper moments and that's why I still bothered to buy the movie. XD And I was SO happy to see them together and functional in Avengers. That was really satisfying.

The plot of Iron Man 2 confused me a bit. Just a bit. I'll definitely have to agree on that though. How Robert and Gwyneth pull off such perfect, convincing bickering scenes amazes me.

Oh yeah, the plot confused me somewhat too. But I loved their bickering scenes. XD And yeah, I agree. They're in a better state in Avengers, although they still have a bit of squabbliness going on. But I wonder if maybe that's just part of their chemistry. Teasing each other and mock-arguing seems like it's just part of their relationship.

Didn't you know? If two characters are in the same room for any amount of time, no matter how much they hate, ignore or even never actually meet the each other, it means they are having a torrid, yet passionate love affair.
I don't feel too strongly about shipping except that it's damn entertaining and even manages to make sense on occasion.
