It is the 400 2.8 L IS USM MkI. The result is really close from the new one in term of image quality. The sharpness is better in the center of the frame, and equal in the corners. The bokeh is clearly better on this new MkII lens.

Still... I won't change my old one for that new version... I am just so happy with the result I can have.

Amazing! I am hoping to afford one of the great whites myself one day. The sharpness and bokeh seem great, even if the Mark II is better. Keep up the great work.

Thanks a lot for your comment. I tried to make it disappear totaly from the frame, but is was simply impossible as their was another on the left.

The 400 2.8 makes all this so easy to picture ! Love it !

Hello

I love using it ! It is heavy, not just a little, it is REALLY heavy. But the bokeh is just so great you know why you carry this lens. It needs a little bit of practice to have the focus perfectly done most of the time as their is no room for error.

Merci beaucoup pour ton message. C'etait un jeu de contre jour (le fond etait ensoleille par la lumiere du matin), avec beaucoup de branchages devant pour donner ce rendu.
