Description To try the new camera, I wanted to make some magpies shots. And to say the least, I was happy with the 5D Mark II autofocus... but this one is ASTONISHING. So many parameters but they are all very useful. I was expecting something close to the 7D... but it seams that it is better !!!

I hope that the picture looks good to you Because their will be more to come, for sure

I don't know myself In fact, with some tries, a good camera and with time, it is quite easy to have such pictures

C'est un bon remplacant du valeureux MkII. La finesse des détails sur ce dernier va me manquer quand même, car le rendu du MkIII est pas aussi bon sur ce point.

Au contraire !! Je veux justement dire qu'ils ont régressé en voulant donner un boitier performant dans les hauts isos. (mais bon, on sait déjà tous que Canon, c'est les meilleurs partout Moouhahahha)

Canon est bien la seule marque à faire des objectifs inintéressants, à les rendre désirable et à faire payer le tout 12000€ ;D La bonne chose, c'est que je suis totalement immunisé :3
De toute façon, c'est bien la première fois qu'un objo est annoncé en grande pompe... et qu'il est toujours pas en vente 3 ans plus tard - -'

Enfin bref, tu comprends que Canon, ils font de bonnes choses de temps en temps, mais c'est pas une marque que je porte haut dans mon coeur, Nikon non plus.... les deux voyant le client comme le con qu'il faut traire de partout.

Je comprends bien. Surtout que les versions ultra-soniques n'ont pas l'air de les intéresser en monture Sony ou Pentax...

Absolutely astonishing capture.

Now I know why I've never heard anything negative about the 5D Mk.III It's pretty much my dream camera but sadly waaay out of my league at the moment. Glad you got one, can't wait to see more of your shots taken with it!

You are right about the 5D MkIII... But I will tell you the worse point of this camera : way too expensive I will make good use of it and I already protected it with tape all around it. But even without the 5D, it is possible to make great flying shots, just that this camera is perfect for this so it makes it easier

A very small one

(OK, kidding, it was the 400mm 2.8 L IS MkI ) It works quite fine

Shit, the lens is more expensive than the camera..
Wish I could afford your gear, because where I live I don´t have to travel more than a couple of kilometres to get those shots..

Yeap... I bought this lens almost for life so it was not that expensive

In fact, the 400 2.8 is a little bit too big to make magpies shots Unfortunately, I have sold my 300mm lens to buy the 400mm. If you have a 300 f4 or something close to it, with a great autofocus camera such as a 7D or D300s, I am sure you will make great shots !!!

No, not really, it has been stolen So I sold the 5D MkII to and replaced it with a MkIII. This kind of camera can replace the 7D and the 5D MkII perfectly, as I don't really need the extra reach of the 7D.
