You have the whole sense of movement and all, but what I like the most is how you can see the salmon on the right looking at which direction its going. You can see it's not just jumping at blind luck, there's effort and sense of direction going on.

I have seen so many salmons jumping completely out of the waterfall that I can't be sure they all have a good sense of orientation

Very nice. I somehow lost the best photo I ever took. It took many tries but I taught Maestro my dog to leap off of the dock into the lake and somehow caught him in midair with nothing in the photo except for him flying and the water

This kind of pictures are mostly luck... and that the fact that we try it again and again makes this luck reachable
