It seems Phantoms trying his hand at politics. Maybe he's got what it takes to run an empire, maybe he's just looking to score with a Princess. Guess we wont know until he takes the throne...Just incase anyone wants to hear his FULL speech:

In addition to failing to choose a suitor, she has allowed your kingdom to come under siege countless times by invading reptiles and stronger empires. Circumstances DEMAND a new leader. And I pick... ME! I will push back on the Kooppa kingdom! Ensure there's a princess in every castle, and ofcourse FREE THE YOSHIS! "
