Description This idea was in my head for quite a while now...
What if Dan returns after PP, but decides not to attack, but to see what changed. To make sure, that he wouldn't be discovered, he changes to a human form. Sooner or later, he would see the statue of his 'younger weaker self'.
I have discovered, that I hate to colour his black hair on the computer...it's really annoying and difficult!

How did it become human?

Just a little theory of when he changed into the 14 year old Danny.

Yeah, I've seen some of you other pictures before. I didn't know you were the one who drew them though. Your art's changed some. I like the design of the hair itself. You've gotten alot better at coloring too. ^^

Phantom-Akiko In reply to RoseEyed [2010-04-10 00:28:48 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, my art got a lot better in the last few years, especially the digital part. There's not much resemblance between my first few ones and my newer pictures...
Well, by now I got better at the hair than in this picture...it's not really good for my tastes now^^ยฐ

RoseEyed In reply to Phantom-Akiko [2010-04-10 00:43:02 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. I'm like that too. When people look at my old pictures and say "wow this is awesome" I look at them and I'm like "are you serious? My stuff looks nothing like that now - ew". Or when people are flipping through some of my old pictures all I can think is "his arm is too long, or that color is off", all the flaws. I hate it when people look at it. XD I don't like looking back at my work either, though I am starting to now.

Yeah, same here...when I look back at my old work, I just want to put it down from da again...but then, there're people, who faved them as well and said that it's good, so I let it online. I once even redrew one of my older works and it came out fantastic xD I might do that with others as well but mostly would need to redraw the whole image u.uยฐ I only do that if I really like the general thought of the picture...like this here for example. I'd say: it only can get better with the way I'm drawing right now...all these digital pictures I did in the last few months really pleased me as well. I usually look down at my other ones and say: I don't like it, this doesn't fit, that doesn't fit, the overall impression doesn't fit. It's mostly the outlines and the proportions. Then comes shading and colouring and then the background.

RoseEyed In reply to Phantom-Akiko [2010-04-10 15:51:09 +0000 UTC]

Definitely. I do like redoing old works though just so I can compare it.
I gotta' say, being on DA is pretty motivating, looking at the professional artists' work on here or the work of people who are my own age and draw twice as good. It makes me think "I want my stuff to look like that!" And you can share your work without people seeing you, which makes it easier to do sometimes. It's like, you and your profile are there, but you don't have to be "right there" to show your work if you don't want to be.

Phantom-Akiko In reply to RoseEyed [2010-04-10 18:57:04 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, comparing is nice
I know what you mean xD I have a lot of favourite artists, too where I say something like: I want to improve so much that I'm as good as this artist. I'm also happy that I started this at a relatively young age...if I'm 30 or 40 and I would join then, I guess it would be pretty frustrating if my art was as bad as it was when I started^^ยฐ

Yes! Youth is awesome! We have plenty of time to learn. I just get impatient ya' know. I'm not going around getting frustrated or anything but the urge to improve my work is always there.

Phantom-Akiko In reply to RoseEyed [2010-04-11 11:17:02 +0000 UTC]

Sure it is xD It'll always be there
But I'm improving through tutorials and when I try things out...I think getting to my digital drawing skills in only 2 years is satisfying enough for me right now xD

RoseEyed In reply to Phantom-Akiko [2010-04-16 21:50:04 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. I'm pretty content too. I've gotta say, I've gotten alot better since joining this place.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Phantom-Akiko In reply to RoseEyed [2010-04-16 22:12:48 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, me too xD Well, I only started drawing digital art since I joined here...I never bothered with it before xD

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

RoseEyed In reply to Phantom-Akiko [2010-04-17 18:44:15 +0000 UTC]

Well, I'd been doing digital for a while before, but not as good as now. My improvement isn't necessarily from just my drawing, but just how I look at art. I pay more attention to lighting and shadowing and stuff now than I did before. And sometimes when I'm coloring I actually know where that stuff is supposed to go.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Phantom-Akiko In reply to RoseEyed [2010-04-17 19:06:35 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I know...I have improved that way as well, tutorials helped me with that, too. I've done digital art for 2 and 1/4 years right now and I think for that time, it's good enough.

It's cool. Weren't we just talking about how we get to talk to people from all over on here? And ironically, as I'm saying that, I'm talking to someone in Germany. ^^

Phantom-Akiko In reply to RoseEyed [2010-04-25 10:40:31 +0000 UTC]

I see xD Well, I've gotten used to the fact that I'm usually talking to people from the US...nothing so new for me by now xD

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

RoseEyed In reply to Phantom-Akiko [2010-04-26 00:53:31 +0000 UTC]

Even though I've talked to people all over form here, I never get over how awesome it is when I'm talking to someone from somewhere else. But yeah, talking to an American is nothing special. ^^

Phantom-Akiko In reply to RoseEyed [2010-04-26 09:10:35 +0000 UTC]

Yeah black can be difficult. If you put the black a few shades lighter it still is black but can work with it much better...
At least it helps me...
