Guys. The grass in the older version is the PHOTOSHOP grass. Just so you know. It's a brush preset. The newer grass I made on my own.The pictures are slightly cropped in order to fit into the meme.

I like both. They both have their weak points and strong.before the grass and body is better but is not as clear as the new. The new is clear but the style is different but that may be better to others. The shading on the new one is better but for me I prefer the old one. But it's great to see improvement.

wow. this is my favorite drawing of yours. I think I like the older version better. It is more nostalgic and has softer feel to it. The new version is sharper, it focuses on the details more. I like how in the old one his back is arched. I love the grass in the new one though.

I think both pieces - although being of the same thing - have two separate stories themselves. This probably roots from the person I am/was when I did each piece. In the older version, the hidden nature of the eyes makes it more distant. He appears more expressionless and his motives for whatever it is he is doing is up to the viewer to decide. On the other hand, the newer version offers insight to his motives by exposing his expression and eyes. The older version, Link is farther away, as though watching him unbeknownst to him. The newer version, Link is closer. I think the entire atmosphere of the two drawings are different, which is fascinating to me because I was worried that the two drawings would look close-to-exactly the same when redrawing it.
