Name: Phantom
Concept: Cybernetic CEO & Domineering Diva

Phantom rarely speaks of her past, preferring to let her deeds and reputation do the talking. When she does reveal her personal history, it is always through conjecture and hypotheticals, preferring to inspire possibility rather than confirm a theory directly.

She frequently implies that she is not native to our world, but is instead displaced from another time altogether. If what she hints is true, she is quite literally from the future - a faraway time where the remnants of humanity bear little resemblance to contemporary mankind. In that hypothetical timeline, she is a rebel; one that revels in sybaritic selfishness and craves companionship.

Today, Phantom is the chief executive of MIRAGECorp, a nimble company with a diverse portfolio. Their products are quite literally ahead of their time... but her company only clouds her goals.

If she wants money, why does her company produce expensive adult entertainment and equipment? If it wants power, why does it sell nonlethal weaponry? If she wants to run a company, why does she disappear for extended periods?

Is it possible that she exists merely to indulge her esoteric tastes? Or is there perhaps more to her plan, a grand strategy to shape the world? Many have theories, but those trying to prove them have a habit of disappearing... and reappearing as her "employees."

Phantom is my first - and really only original character on deviantArt. She comes from a different time (the distant realms of 2010!) and has undergone modest changes in personality and design. Originally, there was more focus on her role as a scientist or inventor, but over time her nature as manipulative mistress has taken the forefront. Popular fiction, sci-fi especially, is often filled to the brim with evil mega-corporations; playing up that side of Phantom gives her a tiny spark that goes past classic supervillain tropes.

Some characters reflect a deeper personality of the creator, but I don't think I'm very similar to Phantom. Our greatest similarity is our love of kink, and a joy that comes from discussing it with like-minded individuals.

Many artists have contributed to her design, but a few traits remain consistent - green eyes, short hair, and pale skin. Like any self-obsessed villain, I've no doubt she varies her appearance in different circumstances to help test what 'brand' works best!

Speaking of 'works best,' her tone (if not appearance) always places her in a contemporary setting. Like Doctor Doom, she's a natural counterbalance to modern icons like superheroes and superspies - magic isn't quite her forte, but she's smart enough to employ the very best (if not the most willing!) experts to investigate such a situation.

I possess no real copyright over the character or appearance; feel free to use her in your work if it suits you. If there's one thing that Phantom and her creator share, it's a real hope that the concepts presented here can inspire debauched deviation and kinky creativty!
