A quick and short but fun little story featuring Skelebomb 's Nalen Kara, the bodacious and badass warden. The previous story got me wanting to work on some investigation-related writing, so this was a fun excuse.
Nalen Abayo Kara - The Warden
Overview:
Nalen Abayo Kara, otherwise known as “The Warden” is a strict, confident and highly capable officer in the imperial army, charged not just with the capture and containment of high profile criminals but also in overseeing their tenure in Alysa Prison, or as it is affectionately called by the majority of its population “The Devil’s Gullet”.
Many would be content in their position as the governor/governess of the nation's largest and most well known prison, revelling in their position of power while delegating to their underlings. Nalen however, has always been somewhat of an overachiever. Even having attained such a venerable position at the age of only 28, making her the youngest to ever hold such a position, she is unable to rest on her laurels, and often takes an active role in the tracking and capture of criminal elements.
She comes from money and as such carries herself with a somewhat haughty self importan

It is in fact mandatory for all staff to spend the equivalent of one working day per annum testing the equipment and restraints used in the prison to ensure they work to the highest possible standard.

Yesss, another case for the warden! I really enjoyed this little murder mystery. It was a lot of fun to read carefully through everything and satisfying to get the conclusion right. Of course going back and seeing what happens when you make a mistake was nice as well 
I honestly think that the amount of bondage in here fits quite well. It certainly takes up less 'screen time' than in your usual stories, but that allows to focus on the case and pay more attention to it.
The various stations visited while investigating have a nice mix between information relevant and irrelevant to the case. Figuring out what was important to remember was a ton of fun and I almost went as far as writing down all the relevant hints.
Those cyoa-mystery stories of yours are just so great, I can't get enough of them

Ah, I always love to savor your comments. They're very helpful, and I mean that! It's good to know what people like about my stories, especially my interactive stories.
Obviously, it had to have elements of kink. It's fun to write and Nalen is too fun to leave totally free. 
I have come to the conclusion that kinky stories are best when they "fail forward." As much as we love bad endings, I'm going to try to make a kinky scene the reward more often than the fail-state. Or, failing that, make the game a sort of branching "Find all the endings!" game. : P

I think that's a great idea! The thing with these types of story is that for many there's no true incentive to succeed because they get some nice kink scenes upon failure anyways. That isn't necessarily bad since hunting for all the 'bad' endings is a lot of fun. But I still think it's nice to have a strong incentive to try and succeed, so making the best/biggest kink scenes a reward for success rather than for failure might be a nice way to do it.
In terms of difficulty this one is good in my opinion. It doesn't require extreme amounts of pondering, but it does force you to pay close attention and possibly go over stuff multiple times. Of course when it comes to this there will be different opinions and some people might not want any challenge at all since they just want to get to the bondage stuff (not that I'm judging
