With the Alpha 1 Project coming to a close, the higher ups push to move onto phase 2... Overthrone.
Rei will go to Earth, along with a highly trained team, to oversee, Alpha 1's actions in the field. The plan is to take Earth back.

Rei's cold exterior shifted to one of worry. Given that Rei has been with Alpha 1 since birth, the two has developed a sort of bond. Rei should feel safe. Armed forces will be with her, and a 'Kaiju killer' will lead the charge.

Is it returning to a monster infested Earth? Coming face to face with The King? Going back to the spot where her fiancee' was killed?
What is making her feel so hesitant and fearful?

Looking over at Alpha 1 in the containment area, gorging itself on the rotten Kaiju meat of a Skull Crawler. Rei had her answer...and more questions.
