Haha! Yeah, Veganotron. I know I gave myself a weird name. I have no idea what inspired this, it just popped into my head...
But yep, it's been one year and a half since I ate chicken for the last time. It's a bit hard because the other five people in the house all eat meat and I used to like that too. Now I just accept fish once in a while when they're having some anyway, but I don't intend to keep buying any when I have my own house. I found tofu stuff to put into my hamburgers and hot dogs. At first it tasted a little weird, but I got used to it and now I like it as much. They say it's even better for the health, so I won't complain.
I don't want people who eat meat to feel like I'm condemning them or something. For my part, it's just that I didn't want to anymore. I guess I just love animals too much (growing up with about ten pets and still having them around everyday probably makes it worse), and one of my College teachers had the great idea to show us an awful documentary that disgusted me for life. Darn it, it gave me so many nightmares that I can't even bear the view of anything like that anymore without having a panick attack. I was already depressed every time we'd eat ham because I knew pigs were as smart as dogs, but I just hadn't really wanted to think about it, I guess... But then, I just had the thought that if I wouldn't be able to kill the animal myself, then I shouldn't eat it without even knowing what people had done to it. I was getting more than sick of reading horror stories of scandalous treatments in the newspaper, so I just decided that if I could do nothing to stop it, at least I wouldn't encourage it...
But as I said, I'm not angry with people who eat meat, nor even with those who kill the beasts, because someone has to do it if burgers are to keep existing. If only it could always be done with some respect and compassion for the (still) living creatures, I don't know if I'd accept to eat meat again, but I'd be at peace with slaughterhouses. So as long as I can't be sure what happened in there before the steak arrived into the fridge, I just prefer not to have anything to do with it.

I got no problem with vegans either. I love animals myself, and I couldn't ever bring myself to kill any animal. I even have problems killing insects most of the time. Tho I don't eat any kinda fish (if it lives in the water I don't eat it), I do eat some meats but I'm kinda picky. But anyhoo it's best that I don't know anything about how any thing is made or produced cause I found out what was in hot dogs and I swore them off.

I did hear stories about nasty stuff they use to make sausages. I don't know how much of that is true, but surely the rumors started for a reason. I think I would have stopped eating real hot dogs even if I hadn't decided to become a vegetarian.
So you don't like to kill bugs either? It's nice to know I'm not the only one. Sometimes I don't really have a choice (like when we had a big problem with black ants), but I don't like having to do that. My father thinks I'm exaggerating when he sees me releasing a spider outside the house.

I release bugs outside too. Sometimes even spiders, but I have a terrible fear of spiders so it's hard for me to try and handel them in any way. The real tiny ones I just don't even bother with. The bigger ones tho I don't like in my house.
Mostly for myself, I get to thinking about how I would fill if I were walking along and all the sudden something just squished me for no reason other than I was there. So that why I tend not to kill anything.

I like the way you think. 
I can understand your fear of spiders. I'm not afraid of them, but I don't usually take them in my hands, because they can run fast and I wouldn't like to have one lost somewhere on me! It's easier with an empty glass jar. My fear is more with mosquitoes. If I hear one flying in the room, I'll spend the night wide awake with the blankets over my head wondering where it is! And since I take off my contact lenses to sleep, I can't see anything even if I turn on the light, which is frustrating when I can still hear the noise...

But even with the jars Spiders freak me out, even dead ones give me the willies. Bout the only other creature I'm afraid of is Sharks. Bu8t my ultimate fear is a Tornado filled with Sharks, Spiders, and Minotaurs. I used to have bad nightmares about a giant red minotaur. Weird huh.

Oh my, that would be a scary vision!
I used to be afraid of tornadoes too, because when I was little, my father loved to watch spectacular forces of nature on TV, including all kinds of terribly destructive storms. I remember seeing videos survivors had taken while hiding under a bridge from a coming tornado. I was so afraid that one would destroy our house that I was hardly able to sleep for weeks!
I agree that nightmares concerning red minotaurs are pretty weird, but I must say I've never really had normal dreams... (Mine usually include the last things I would ever think of, like flying stairs and elevators in a forest, 5 and 30 dollar bills made of bright yellow and blue plastic sticks (don't ask!), talking crocodiles and a maniac little man all dressed up in white trying to take away our cats or burning down the house.) I'm telling you, it's almost creepy how the brain can do the craziest associations sometimes...

That is odd. But I have very strange dreams like that as well. Like once I drempt about a huge talking white tiger. He was pretty cool tho. Then once I had a dream about some strange looking Jedi going on a road trip. I could go on but I don't want to bore ya.
